The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 27th day of February, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 6th day of October, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situate in Block II, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and ninety-eight (198) acres twenty-three (23) perches, more or less, being part of Sections 19, 20, and 25, Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, and closed roads passing through the said sections, and being also Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 12465, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 493, folio 17 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area situate in Block II, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement two (2) acres two (2) roods thirty-five (35) perches, more or less, being part of Section 20, Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, part of the said parcel of land being also part Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 12465, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 493, folio 19 (Wellington Registry).

Declaring Land to be subject to Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Manunui Development Scheme.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 29th day of October, 1943, and published in Gazette No. 97 of the 4th day of November of the same year, at page 1292, whereby the said land was declared to be subject to Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, and such land is hereby excluded from the Tokaanu Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Aotea Native Land Court District, containing 8 acres 3 roods 7 perches, more or less, situate in Block X, Puketi Survey District, and called or known as Tokaanu B 2A 1A.

In the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, dated 31st July, 1947, on page 948, under the heading “Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936,” notice was given of decisions having been made in respect of applications to manufacture paua shell for sale by P. Reid, 45 Tutanekai Street, Rotorua, and D. Parsons, Public Works Department, Mangakino.
These notices are hereby cancelled, and the following substituted therefor :
