Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint
Francis John Callaghan
to be a member of the Port Committee for the Port of Westport, vice Leo Walsh.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XV, Omapere Survey District, for Housing Purposes
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaikohe and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Classification of Road in Stratford County
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrant classifying roads in the Stratford County dated the 5th day of October, 1939,* in so far as it relates to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby approve of the Stratford County Council’s proposed classification of the said road.

Road classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 3½ tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 4 tons on any one axle:—
Stratford–Taumarunui Main Highway No. 823 (that portion within Stratford County from Douglas Township to Strathmore Township).

Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Redefining a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area
Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1946, the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, doth hereby declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule, and doth hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 3rd day of August, 1947.
