HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, relinquishment of commission, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :-
REGULAR FORCE
SUPERNUMERARY LIST, N.Z. REGULAR FORCE
Major and Quartermaster W. L. Stewart is posted to the Retired List. Dated 24th July, 1947.
The notices published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25, dated 15th May, 1947, and No. 32, dated 12th June, 1947, relative to Captain and Quartermaster A. E. Sharp, are hereby cancelled and the following substituted :-
“Captain and Quartermaster A. E. Sharp is posted to the Retired List. Dated 14th July, 1947.”
N.Z TEMPORARY STAFF
Temp. Matron-in-Chief E. C. Mackay, O.B.E., R.R.C., N.Z. Army Nursing Service, is seconded to the N.Z. Temporary Staff for a tour of duty. Dated 11th July, 1947.
Temp. Captain J. P. Kelly relinquishes his commission. Dated 22nd July, 1947.

Colonel (temp. Brigadier, Acting Major-General) Sir Fred T. Bowerbank, K.B.E., E.D., M.B., F.R.C.P. (Edin.), F.R.A.C.P., K.H.P., is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Major-General. Dated 23rd April, 1947.

Sister E. F. Duncalf (née Collins) is posted to the Retired List. Dated 11th July, 1947.

The notice appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 15, dated 14th March, 1946, page 332, under the heading “Reserve of Air Force Officers—Transfers,” relating to “Flying Officer Donald John Glengarry,” is amended to read “Dated 20th February, 1947.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, Frederick Hackett, Acting for the Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint
Raymond Eric Marriott, of Half-moon Bay,
to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908, to hold office until the 31st day of March, 1950. Dated at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1947.
