THE SOUTHERN HOKIANGA TRIBAL DISTRICT
All that portion of the Hokianga County, bounded by a line
commencing at the mouth of the Waipoua River, in Block V, Waipoua
Survey District; thence north-westerly generally to and along the sea-
coast and to the middle of the Hokianga Harbour; thence northerly,
easterly, and southerly generally along the eastern, southern, and
western boundaries of the Northern Hokianga Tribal District,
hereinbefore described, to the north-western corner of Section 4,
Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District; thence southerly generally
along the western boundaries of the said Section 4, Sections 6 and 7,
all of Block XIII aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned
boundary to the middle of the Mangakahia River; thence westerly
along the northern boundaries of Block I, Tutamoe Survey District,
and Block IV, Waipoua Survey District; thence southerly along
the western boundary of the last-mentioned block and of Block
VIII, Waipoua Survey District, to the middle of the Waipoua
River; thence westerly generally down the middle of that river
to its mouth, the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of January, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of the Wellington Metropolitan water-supply; and
I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the thirtieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-seven.
