CORRIGENDUM
IN the New Zealand Gazette No. 2, dated 16th January, 1947,
on page 4l, under the heading “Notice to Persons affected
by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial
Efficiency Act, 1936,” notice was given of an application having
been made by N. Gilman, 81 Victoria Street, Devonport, for a
license to engage in the industry described in the Industry Licensing
(Paua Shell) Notice 1946.
That notice is hereby cancelled, and the following substituted
therefor:—
“F. W. Jacomb (trading as Devonport Jewellery Co.), 81 Vic-
toria Road, Devonport, has applied for a license to engage in the
industry described in the Industry Licensing (Paua Shell) Notice 1946.
“Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
this application should, not later than the 13th day of February,
1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may
desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the
Acting-Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Proclaiming Tribal Districts under the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section six of the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard
Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in
the Schedule hereto to be tribal districts for the purposes of the
said Act, and do hereby assign to each of the several districts the
name appearing at the head of the description of each such district.
SCHEDULE
THE PANGURU TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that portion of the Hokianga County, bounded by a line com-
mencing at Trig. Station H, Waiwhakaruku, in Block IV, Whangape
Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to the
easternmost corner of Old Land Claim 197, in Block XIII, Manga-
muka Survey District, and that line produced to the middle of the
Hokianga Harbour; thence south-westerly generally down the
middle of that harbour to the sea; thence north-westerly to and
along the sea-coast and to the middle of the Whangape Harbour;
thence north-easterly generally up the middle of that harbour and
the Awaroa River to the Awaroa Bridge on the Herekino–Broadwood
Road; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 42,
Pareokawa, and a right line to Trig. Station H, Waiwhakaruku,
the place of commencement.
THE NORTHERN HOKIANGA TRIBAL DISTRICT
All that portion of Hokianga and Bay of Islands Counties,
bounded by a line commencing at the Awaroa Bridge on the Here-
kino-Broadwood Road; thence north-easterly and south-easterly
generally along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries
of the Hokianga County, being the middle of the Awaroa River,
the crossing of a public road, the northern boundary of Section l,
Block X, Whangape Survey District, the western boundaries of
Sections 68 and 69, Block II, Whangape Survey District, the northern
boundaries of the said Section 69 and Sections 67, 66, and 60, all
of Block II aforesaid, the western boundaries of Sections 35 and 36,
Block XV, Takahue Survey District, the northern boundary of the
said Section 36, the northern boundaries of the State Forest Reserve
(New Zealand Gazette of the 28th January, 1904, at page 310), the
western boundary of the Mangamuka West No. 2 Block, the western
and northern boundaries of the Mangamuka West No. 3 Block, the
north-western and north-eastern boundaries of the Mangamuka
East Block, the north-western boundary of the Omahuta State
Forest Timber Section 2 to Trig. Station Ratakamaru, the north-
eastern boundary of the said Timber Section 2 and Timber Sec-
tions 6 and 16, the northern boundary of Block XVI, Maungataniwha
Survey District, the middle of the Whakatereterekia Stream and
the Mangapa River, to its junction with the Waipapa River; thence
south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station B in Block II,
Omapere Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line
to Trig. Station Al, Pukewharariki; thence due easterly along a
right line to the boundary of the Hokianga County; thence southerly
generally along that county boundary, being the western boundaries
of Block XIV, Omapere Survey District, and Block II, Punakitere
Survey District, the middle of the Mangatoa Stream and the Pun-
kitere River, the western boundary of the Wharepoke Block, the
northern and western boundaries of the Ninihi Block, the western
boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, and part of the western boundary of
Section 15, all of Block X, Punakitere Survey District, the north-
western boundary of State Forest Reserve (New Zealand Gazette
of 7th June, 1906, at page 1428), and the northern boundary of
Section 4, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District; thence north-
westerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 3,
Block XIII aforesaid, the north-eastern boundaries of Section 24,
Block XVI, Waoku Survey District, and Sections 9 and 7, Block XII,
Waoku Survey District, and the eastern boundaries of State Forest
Reserve (New Zealand Gazette of 28th July, 1881, at page 959), to
its northernmost corner; thence north-easterly along a right line
to the easternmost corner of Whawharu B South No. 4 Block;
thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 2 in Block IV,
Waoku Survey District, and a right line to the northernmost corner
of Motukiore E Block; thence westerly along a right line passing
through Trig. Station 103, Oparia, in Block XIV, Mangamuka
Survey District, to the middle of the Waima River; thence northerly
and westerly generally along the middle of the Waima River and
Hokianga Harbour to the eastern corner of the Panguru Tribal
District hereinbefore described; thence north-westerly along the
north-eastern boundaries of that district to the Awaroa Bridge on
the Herekino–Broadwood Road. the place of commencement.
