A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1692, set apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted on the eighth day of May of that year, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 22 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 1692, Block I, Arawata Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 524, Block I, Arawata Survey District; thence by the northern boundaries of that section and Sections 523, 522, and Part 521, Block I, Arawata Survey District, bearing 269° 01' distance 1555·9 links, bearing 269° 36' 30" distance 1791·79 links; thence by part Reserve 1692, Block I, Arawata Survey District, bearing 358° 43' 40" distance 604·32 links, bearing 89° 40' 30" distance 995·62 links, bearing 84° 34' distance 2358·4 links, bearing 178° 43' 40" distance 794·30 links, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/11/108, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1947.

Provisional State Forest and Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the provisional State forest and Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Tuapeka and Clutha Counties, containing by admeasurement 8,564 acres 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, being Run 503, Rankleburn Survey District (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1919, page 1291–8,550 acres), and Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block V, and Section 2, Block VII, Rankleburn Survey District (Crown land—14 acres 2 roods 36 perches). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 204/53, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of June, 1947.
