A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for better utilization; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 33 acres 1 rood 14·4 perches.
Being Lot 1, D.P. 12900, being parts Subdivisions 6, 7, 8, and 9, Koangaaumu Block, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 506, folio 253 (Wellington Land Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of June, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to memorandum of lease dated the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, from Frederick William Ongley, George Percival Middleton, and William Nicholas Ryan to the Titahi Bay Golf Club (Incorporated) for a term of ten years from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, for better utilization; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 1 rood 26·34 perches.
Being part of the land in D.P. 9478, being part Subdivisions 8 and 9, Koangaaumu Block, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 464, folio 187 (Wellington Land Registry).

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six, the Honourable Harold Featherston Johnston, Judge, was appointed a member of the First Division of the Court of Appeal for the year one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven : And whereas the said the Honourable Harold Featherston Johnston, Judge, relinquished his office as such on the eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and it is therefore expedient to appoint another Judge in his place as a member of the First Division of the Court of Appeal sitting on the ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, and in pursuance of the recommendation of the Honourable Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary, K.C.M.G., the Chief Justice of New Zealand, the Honourable Mr. Justice Blair, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Cornish, doth appoint the Honourable David Stanley Smith, Judge, to be a member of the First Division of the Court of Appeal in place of the said the Honourable Harold Featherston Johnston, Judge.

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, as the day on which shall be held the first election of the members of the Buller Electric-power Board, the Buller Electric-power District having been duly constituted by Proclamation dated the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of the same month.
