OTAMATEA TRIBAL DISTRICT

Naumai Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Wairoa River in line with the north-western boundary of Tokatoka Parish; thence north-easterly to and along the north-western boundaries of the Parishes of Tokatoka and Omaru to the middle of the Mangonui River; thence southerly and easterly generally up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Omaru River; thence southerly on a right line to Trig. Station H, in Block V, Matakohe Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block XV, Tokatoka Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Wairoa River; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of the Tokatoka Parish, being the point of commencement.

Ruawai Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station H, in Block V, Matakohe Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 1, in Block III, Te Kuri Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Wairoa River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that river to the southernmost corner of Naumai Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that area to Trig. Station H, the point of commencement.

Te Kowhai Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Omaru River and the Mangonui River; thence easterly generally up the middle of the Mangonui River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 162, Tauraroa Parish, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of that parish; thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 58, Pukekohe, in Block VII, Matakohe Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 8, Hautakina, and a right line and its production through Paraoanui to the middle of the Wairoa River; thence north-westerly up the middle of that river to the southern corner of the Ruawai Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that area to Trig. Station H, in Block V, Matakohe Survey District; thence northerly along a right line to the confluence of the Omaru River and the Mangonui River, being the point of commencement.

Arapaoa Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 58, Pukekohe, in Block VII, Matakohe Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to Patoka on the Whakapirau River; thence along a line to the middle of that river; thence southerly and south-easterly down the middle of that river and the Arapaoa River, south-westerly down the middle of the Otamatea River and north-westerly up the middle of the Wairoa River to the southern corner of the Te Kowhai Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of that area to Trig. Station 58, Pukekohe, the point of commencement.

Otamatea Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 58, Pukekohe, in Block VII, Matakohe Survey District; thence northerly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Mangonui River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 162, Tauraroa Parish, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of that parish; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of the Tauraroa Parish and the Waikiekie Parish; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundaries of the Ruarangi Parish and the Waipu Parish to the Piroa Stream, and up that stream to the northern boundary of Allotment 2, Waipu Parish; thence easterly generally along the northern boundaries of Allotments 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 235, 337A, 336, and 351, all of Waipu Parish; thence north-easterly generally across the Mangawhai–McKenzie Cove Road and along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 330 and 91, Waipu Parish, to the sea-coast; thence southerly generally along the sea-coast and a line to the middle of the entrance of the Mangawhai Harbour; thence south-westerly generally up the middle of that harbour to the westernmost corner of Allotment 84, Mangawhai Parish, in Block III, Mangawhai Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to the south-western corner of Allotment 194, Oruawharu Parish, and a right line to a point in the middle of the Kaira Creek in line with the south-western boundary of Nukuroa part No. 1r 2 Block, in Block VI, Otamatea Survey District; thence south-westerly and westerly down the middle of the Kaira Creek and the Oruawharu River and the Kaipara Harbour to the southern corner of the Arapaoa Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly and north-westerly generally along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that area to Trig. Station 58, Pukekohe, the point of commencement.

Oruawharo Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment 194, Oruawharo Parish, in Block IV, Otamatea Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to the south-western corner of the Otoro D Block; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 593, in Block VIII, Pakiri Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station 603, in Block I, Mahurangi Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line passing through the south-eastern corner of Allotment 62, Tauhoa Parish, to the middle of the Kaipara Harbour; thence down the middle of that harbour to the south-western boundary of the Otamatea Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-easterly boundaries of that area to the south-western corner of Allotment 194, Oruawharo Parish, being the point of commencement.

Pakiri Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment 194, Oruawharo Parish, in Block IV, Otamatea Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the Otamatea Tribal Committee Area, hereinbefore described, to the middle of the entrance of Mangawhai Harbour; thence south-easterly and southerly generally to and along the sea-coast to the eastern corner of Allotment 109, Mahurangi Parish; thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 918, in Block XI, Mahurangi Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 603, in Block I, of that survey district; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of the Oruawharo Tribal Committee Area, hereinbefore described, to the south-western corner of Allotment 194, Oruawharo Parish, being the point of commencement.

Kakanui Tribal Committee Area

All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 603, in Block I, Mahurangi Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Pakiri Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly and easterly along the boundaries of that area to the eastern corner of Allotment 109, Mahurangi Parish, in Block XII, Mahurangi Survey District; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the sea-coast and a line to the middle of the Waiwera River; thence westerly generally up the middle of that river to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Section 52, Parish of Puhoi; thence along the southern and western boundaries of Puhoi Parish to the northern boundary of Makarau Parish; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Makarau Parish to the Rauhori Stream; thence along the middle of the Rauhori Stream and the Makarau River to the Kaipara Harbour; thence down the middle of Kaipara Harbour to the south-western boundary of the Oruawharo Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along the boundaries of that area to Trig. Station 603, the point of commencement.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 4th day of June, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 26th day of May, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situate in Block VII, Otahoua Survey District, containing by admeasurement twenty-eight (28) acres, more or less, being Section 814, Whareama Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 22, folio 93 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that area situate in Block III, Otahōua Survey District, containing by admeasurement seven hundred and ninety-six (796) acres, more or less, being Pounui 82N, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 73, folio 186 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that area situate in Block III, Otahoua Survey District, containing by admeasurement one thousand three hundred and eighty-five (1,385) acres one (1) rood fourteen (14) perches, being part Taumata Whakapono East Block and part Taumataraiā Block, and being the residue of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 73, folio 187 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that area situate in Blocks III, VII, and VIII, Otahoua Survey District, containing by admeasurement six hundred and forty (640) acres five (5) perches, more or less, being part Taumata Whakapono West Block and part Taumataraiā Block, and parts Sections 514 and 607, Whareama Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 341, folio 163 (Wellington Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 10th day of March, 1947, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
