Crown Land set apart for Housing Purposes in the Borough of Petone
subject to a certain Easement

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for housing purposes subject to the drainage rights created in and over such land by memorandum of transfer registered in the Land Transfer Office at Wellington under number 104782; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 2 roods 3·6 perches.
Being part Lot 13, D.P. 709, being part Section 7, Hutt District.
Situated in Block XIII, Belmont Survey District (Borough of Petone), (S.O. 21002.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 116672, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of April, 1947.

of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—BOROUGH OF TEMUKA

ALL that area containing 2 acres 1 rood 19·6 perches, being formerly part Reserve 283, and being more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 30/228/69c, deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange. (S.O. plan 7835.)

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Hawke’s Bay and Waipawa Counties, containing by admeasurement 289 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, being Section 1, Block IV, Wakarara Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 79/5, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of April, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forests.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, containing by admeasurement 1,301 acres, more or less, being Section 4, Block XIII, Ahikereru Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 47/53, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan S.O. 22912.)

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, Rotorua County, containing by admeasurement 1,235 acres 1 rood 37 perches, more or less, being Sections 22 and 29, Block XV, and Sections 3, 6, 7, and 11, Block XVI, Otanewainuku Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 30/5, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plans S.O. 14147, 17435, 31832.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of April, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 12, Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District: Area, 3 roods 20 perches, more or less.

Also Section 13, Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District: Area, 5 perches, more or less.

Proclaiming Tribal Districts under the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section six of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be tribal districts for the purposes of the said Act, and do hereby assign to each of the several districts the name appearing at the head of the description of each such district.

SCHEDULE

THE WHANGAREI TRIBAL DISTRICT

ALL that portion of the Whangarei County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block VIII, Russell Survey District, at the eastern end of the northern boundary of Whangaroa-Ngaiotonga No. 4r Block, being a point on the boundary of the Whangarei County; thence along that county boundary, being a line along the sea-coast and including the adjacent islands known as the Hen and Chickens (Taranga and Maro Titi), The Poor Knights, and all other adjacent islands to Bream Tail at the north-eastern corner of Allotment 91, Parish of Waipu, the south-eastern boundary of the said Allotment 91, the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 330 of the said parish, a right line, being the production of the last-mentioned boundary, across a public road to the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 351, Waipu Parish, the northern and western boundaries of that allotment, the northern boundaries of Allotments 336 and Part 337A, a right line across a public road,
