NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following land—namely, all that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing one acre two roods (1 acre 2 roods), more or less, being portion of Allotments 124 and 337 of the Parish of Taupiri, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 712, folio 189 of the Register-books of the Land Registry Office at Auckland.
A plan of this land is deposited in the post-office at Orini and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

THE liquidator of the Carpenters Shoe Store (Dannevirke), Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 17th day of April, 1947, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 1st day of April, 1947, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £40,000 to £4,000, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statute, were registered by the Registrar of Companies at Christchurch on the 2nd day of April, 1947; and further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following :—
“The capital of W. R. Cooke and Son, Limited, henceforth is £4,000 divided into 80,000 ordinary shares of one shilling each, 68,000 of which are issued and are fully paid up and 12,000 of which are unissued. At the time of registration of this minute each of the said 68,000 shares has been issued and is deemed to be fully paid up and 12,000 shares are unissued.”
