Settlement (Town) Land in Marlborough Land District for Selection
on Renewable Lease

District Lands and Survey Office,
Blenheim, 3rd April, 1947.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications
will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim,
up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 13th May, 1947.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday, 15th
May, 1947, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable
to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by
any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount
of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT (TOWN) LAND
Awatere County.—Town of Seddon.—Starborough Settlement
SECTION 17, Block IXA: Area, 1 rood 8 perches. Capital value,
£50; half-yearly rent, £1 5s.

Weighted with £5 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing.

This is a good level section sloping slightly to the eastern corner.
It is situated on the Main Road about a quarter of a mile from the
Township of Seddon, and is ideally situated for a business or
residential site.

Any further particulars required may be obtained from the
undersigned.

Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District acquired for a Permanent
State Forest

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule
hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22,
for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waipawa County,
containing by admeasurement 6,442 acres 3 roods 17 perches, more
or less, situated in Blocks IV, VII, and VIII, Wakarara Survey
District, and Block V, Maraekakaho Survey District, and described
generally as follows:—

All that area containing 126 acres, more or less, being part of
Block 6, Gwavas Crown Grant District, and being Lot 1 on D.P.
3234 (certificate of title, Vol. 56, folio 191).

Also all that area containing 1,613 acres 3 roods 35 perches,
more or less, being Rural Sections 15 and 24, Kereru Bush, and
parts of Blocks 1 and 3, Gwavas Crown Grant District, and being
also part of Lot 1 on Deeds Plan 156 (certificate of title, Vol. 56,
folio 190).

Also all that area containing 111 acres, more or less, being
part of Block 6, Gwavas Crown Grant District, and being Lot 2
on D.P. 3234 (certificate of title, Vol. 35, folio 179).

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 4,591 acres
3 roods 22 perches, more or less, being parts of Blocks 1 and 3,
Gwavas Crown Grant District, and being also Lot 6 and part of
Lot 2 on Deeds Plan 156 and part of Lot 2 on Deeds Plan 465
(certificate of title, Vol. 35, folio 178). As the same is delineated
on plan No. 79/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921–22,
for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County,
containing by admeasurement 903 acres, more or less, being
Section 156 of Square 5, situated in Block IV, Tadmor Survey
District, and Section 151 of Square 5, situated in Block V, Gordon
Survey District, and being the lands comprised and described in
certificates of title, Vol. 19, folio 592, and Vol. 10, folio 237. As
the same is delineated on plan No. 108/60, deposited in the Head
Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to subsection (1) of
section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, the company has, by
extraordinary resolution entered in the minute-book and dated the
26th day of March, 1947, resolved—

“ (1) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that
the company be wound up voluntarily;
“ (2) That Mr. JAMES FRANCIS FREW, of Hamilton, be and is
hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

Creditors of the company are required to lodge detailed statements of their claims, duly certified, with the liquidator, P.O.
Box 329, Hamilton, on or before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 2nd April,
1947.
