THE GUARDIAN TRUST AND EXECUTORS COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND, LIMITED
I, RICHARD FROUDE WARD, General Manager of the Guardian Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare:—
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £100,000, divided into 20,000 shares of £5 each.
- That the number of shares issued is 20,000.
- That calls to the amount of five pounds (£5) per share have been made, under which the sum of £100,000 has been received.
- That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates on the 1st day of January last is £34,804,845 15s. 9d.
- That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates on that day is £34,711,231 9s. 6d.
- That the amount of balances due to estates under administration on that day is £93,614 6s. 3d.
- That the liabilities of the company as on the 1st day of January last were £10 4s. 10d.
- That the assets of the company on that day were £113,215 15s. 0d.
- That the first annual license was issued on the 10th day of March, 1911.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

MANIOTOTO COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Maniototo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Housing Loan, 1945, of £6,750, authorized to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the provision of workers’ dwellings in terms of section 192 of the Counties Act, 1920, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Maniototo; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-seven years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Maniototo County Council in the presence of—

CHANGE OF SURNAME
I, LUCY KINGDON DEAN, heretofore called and known by the name of Lucy Kingdon Smith, of Napier, hereby give public notice that on the 28th day of March, 1947, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of Smith and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the said name of Dean instead of the said name of Smith: And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 28th day of March, 1947, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Napier Registry, on the 2nd day of April, 1947, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of Smith and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended to henceforth upon all occasions whatsoever use and subscribe the name of Dean instead of Smith, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of Dean exclusively.

THE AUCKLAND HOSPITAL BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR HOSPITAL PURPOSES
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Auckland Hospital Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, to execute a certain public work—viz., the acquisition of land and premises as part of the site of and for the use and convenience or enjoyment of or otherwise for the purposes of the Auckland Hospital within the Auckland Hospital District—and for the purpose of such public work the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the 3rd day of April, 1947, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Auckland Hospital Board, Kitchener Street, Auckland.

ALL that parcel of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being part of Allotment 17 of Section 18 of the Suburbs of Auckland, bounded as appears in a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 2690, reserving, however, to the owners for the time being of Lots 8, 9, and 10 of the said Allotment 17, a right to drain particularly specified in Transfer No. 28907, and is the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 110, folio 159 (Auckland Registry), the said piece of land being known as No. 20 Park Road, Auckland.

I, MALCOLM HENRY JAMES KNOX, of the City of Christchurch, Mechanic, now lately called MALCOLM HENRY JAMES KNOX, but hereinbefore known and described as MALCOLM HENRY JAMES HAYDEN, hereby give notice that I have renounced and abandoned the use of my said surname of HAYDEN and have assumed and adopted in lieu thereof the said surname of KNOX: And I hereby give further notice that such change of name is evidenced by a deed-poll bearing date the 21st day of March, 1947, duly executed by me and attested and enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch on the 24th day of March, 1947.
