THE following special order made by the Wanganui County Council on the 8th day of November, 1946, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER

“THAT, pursuant to the provisions of sections 4 and 5 (c) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Wanganui County Council hereby by special order declares variegated or milk thistle (Silybum) to be a noxious weed within the County of Wanganui, and that this special order shall take effect on the 29th day of November, 1946.”

Previous Notice: No. 20 of 1946 hereby cancelled.
Position: Lat., 40° 45′ S.; long., 172° 43′ E. (approx.).
Details: The wharf has been shortened and repaired and is now safe for use in fine weather. The ground is foul with pile stubs and dolomite between the new end and the old end corner piles, which have been left standing.
