Declaring Sections 456, 460, and Parts of Sections 461 and 637, Patea District, in the Hawera Acclimatization District, the Property of Mr. D. B. Chamberlain, Kakaramea, to be a Sanctuary

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area the property of Mr. D. B. Chamberlain, Kakaramea, consisting of 301 acres 3 roods, being Sections 456 and 460 and Subsection 1 of part Section 461, Patea District, and all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 130, folio 295, and, secondly, 30 acres 1 rood, Subdivision 3 of Section 637, Patea District, all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 120, folio 185.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of November, 1946.

Land temporarily reserved in the Hawke's Bay Land District

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Hawke's Bay Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for buildings of the General Government.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in the Borough of Napier, containing by admeasurement 1 rood and 15·7 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on D.P. 6261, and being part of Napier Town Section 360. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/513, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of November, 1946.
