THE following special order made by the Clutha County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

CLUTHA COUNTY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER

THAT the following resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council held in the County Chambers, Balclutha, on the 25th June, 1946—

“ The Clutha County Council, by special order and in terms of section 27 of the Counties Act, 1920, hereby declares the Town Board of the Town District of Clinton to be dissolved as from the 31st March, 1947, and the Town District as from that date to be merged in the Clutha County ”

be confirmed, and the said resolution is hereby confirmed accordingly.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Carterton

Wellington, 13th August, 1946.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Carterton and included in the County of Wairarapa South.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF CARTERTON AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF WAIRARAPA SOUTH

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Carterton, bounded: Commencing at the intersection of the north-western side of Lincoln Road with the north-eastern side of Dalefield Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-western side of Lincoln Road to a point in line with the southern side of Brooklyn Road; thence in a south-easterly direction across Lincoln Road and along the south-western side of Brooklyn Road to its intersection with the north-western boundary of part Section 211, Taratahi Plains Block, contained in certificate of title, Vol. 427, folio 129 (Wellington Registry), distant 560·61 links from the north-western side of High Street; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of part Section 211 aforesaid to its westernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of part Section 211 aforesaid to the northernmost corner of part Section 211, contained in certificate of title, Vol. 2, folio 208 (Wellington Registry), distant 500 links from the north-western side of High Street; thence in a south-westerly direction along a line parallel with and distant 500 links from the
