Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £140 by the Geraldine Borough Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of June, 1946
Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in Council

WHEREAS the Geraldine Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of one hundred and forty pounds (£140) by a loan to be known as Main Highways Loan, 1946 (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of paying its portion of the cost of constructing a concrete culvert in the borough portion of the Geraldine-Fairlie Highway:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of one hundred and forty pounds (£140), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be five (5) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds fifteen shillings (£3 15s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.

(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Cancelling Appointment of Licensing Authority and the Application of Regulations under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920

His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in Council

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, inter alia, the Leamington Town Board was appointed a licensing authority under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920: And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke such appointment:

And whereas by an Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, it was provided, inter alia, that certain regulations should take effect as by-laws within the Town District of Leamington: And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke this provision:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section nine of the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the above-recited Orders in Council in so far as they refer to the Town District of Leamington or the Leamington Town Board.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Featherston under the Public Works Act, 1928

His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in Council

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 32 perches. Being part Section 316, Town of Featherston, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 349, folio 22 (Wellington Land Registry).

Situated in Featherston Borough.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 8322, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.


SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 1 rood. Being part Lot 10, D.P. 3038, being part Section 12.

Situated in Block II, Wairere Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 33046.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123572, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the right to lay pipes created by memorandum of transfer registered in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 209998, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 25·74 perches.

Being Lot 3, D.P. 9392, being part Section 11, Ohiro District.
