Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authorities specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

THE following resolution passed by the Cook County Council on the 14th day of March, 1946, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934.
RESOLUTION
“That the Cook County Council do hereby, under powers vested in it by subsection (1) of section 7 of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934, decide to assume responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, within the County of Cook as on and from the 1st day of April, 1946.”

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades
Office of Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 5th April, 1946.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st April to 30th April, 1946:—

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, for Better Utilization
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 30 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for better utilization: And notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land required to be taken are deposited in the post-office at Porirua and are there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
