Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Services of Notices by Telegraph

Wellington, 21st November, 1945.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Minister of Telegraphs by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:-

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :-
A motor-driver's license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

The Greymouth Milk Delivery Notice 1945
PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945, the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:-
- This notice may be cited as the Greymouth Milk Delivery Notice 1945.
- This notice shall come into force on the seventh day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
- The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.
SCHEDULE
THE GREYMOUTH MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1945
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,-
"The district" means the Borough of Greymouth, and that portion of the Grey County as indicated by zones marked on the plan:
"The plan" means the plan of the districts deposited for the purpose of the scheme in the Head Office of the Milk Marketing Division at Wellington under No. M.M.D. 1:
"Minister" means the Minister of Marketing:
"Zone" means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.
(2) For the purpose of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members-
(a) Two members to be appointed by the Greymouth Borough Council:
(b) One member to be appointed by the Grey County Council:
(c) Two members to be appointed by the milk-vendors:
(d) The Director of Milk Marketing, or other officer of the Public Service to be appointed by him in his stead:
(3) Any member of the committee may at any time resign his office by writing addressed to the Minister.
(4) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, other than the member specified in paragraph (d) of clause (2) of this scheme, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(5) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of the scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(6) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(7) The names of vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows :-

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.--Revocation of Declaration of Essential Industry No. 74
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby revoke the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 74, as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 49 of 14th May, 1942.

NOTE.-This revocation affects bakeries and the wholesale distribution of the products of such undertakings.
Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.--Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 150
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 150 by deleting therefrom the words--
"Mason Hines, Ltd., at Wellington," and substituting therefor the words--
"Broadway Suits, Ltd., at Wellington."

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Paraparaumu Beach Extension No. 17, affecting part Ngarara West B No. 8, Block III, Kapiti Survey District, Wellington Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the roads shown as Eatwell Avenue, Sweetman Avenue, and Knight Avenue thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the roads shown as Eatwell Avenue, Sweetman Avenue, and Knight Avenue of a width of not less than 50 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such roads.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 22nd day of November, 1945.
