Notice of Intention to take Additional Land for Post and Telegraph
Purposes in the Borough of New Plymouth
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described
in the Schedule hereto for Post and Telegraph purposes: And
notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required
to be taken is deposited in the Chief Post-office at New Plymouth
and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the additional piece of land required to be
taken: 2 roods 2.6 perches.
Being Sections 855 and 856, Town of New Plymouth (Borough of
New Plymouth).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 122539, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 21st day of November,

The Clothing Trade Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1940, No. 2,
Amendment No. 3
PURSUANT to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations
1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:
-
This Order may be cited as the Clothing Trade Labour
Legislation Suspension Order 1940, No. 2, Amendment No. 3. -
This Order shall be read together with and deemed part
of the Clothing Trade Labour Legislation Suspension Order 1940,
No. 2 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”). -
Clause 2 of the principal Order is revoked and the following
clause substituted therefor:
“2. This Order applies to female workers who, after reaching
the age of twenty-one years, commence employment in the shirt,
white, and silk-working trade or in the dressmaking and millinery
trade.”
- This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date
hereof.

Classification of Road in Matamata and Taupo Counties
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the
Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-
vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
revoke the Warrants described in the First Schedule hereto, so
far as they relate to the classification of the road described in the
Second Schedule hereto, and doth hereby approve of the Main
Highways Board's proposed classification of the road described
in the Second Schedule hereto and situated in the Matamata and
Taupo Counties.

load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5 tons on
any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the
load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5½ tons on
any one axle:-
Waitoa-Wairakei Main Highway No. 809 (that portion within
Matamata and Taupo Counties from the south-eastern
boundary of Putaruru Town District to its junction with
the Rotorua-Taupo Main Highway at Wairakei).

Dunedin Abattoir District extended.—(Notice No. Ag. 4231)
Office of the Minister of Agriculture,
Wellington, 15th November, 1945.
PURSUANT to section 15 (7) of the Meat Act, 1939, notice is
hereby given that—
(1) The abattoir established and maintained by the Dunedin
City Council has, by agreements made between the
said Council and each of the local authorities named in
the First Schedule hereto, been made available for the
whole of the respective districts of the said local
authorities;
(2) The Dunedin Abattoir District, as affected by the said
agreements, shall comprise all that area described in the
Second Schedule hereto; and
(3) The Dunedin City Council shall be the controlling authority
of the abattoir for the purposes of the Dunedin Abattoir
District described in the said Second Schedule.

Auckland Abattoir District extended.—(Notice No. Ag. 4232)
Office of the Minister of Agriculture,
Wellington, 19th November, 1945.
PURSUANT to section 15 (7) of the Meat Act, 1939, notice is
hereby given that—
(1) By deed of agreement dated the 23rd day of October, 1945,
made between the Auckland City Council and the
Papatoetoe Town Board, the abattoir established and
maintained by the said City Council has been made
available for the Papatoetoe Town District;
(2) The Auckland Abattoir District as affected by the said
agreement shall comprise all that area described in the
Schedule hereto; and
(3) The Auckland City Council shall be the controlling
authority of the abattoir for the purposes of the
Auckland Abattoir District described in the said
Schedule.

DESCRIPTION OF AUCKLAND ABATTOIR DISTRICT
ALL that area for the time being comprised in the City of
Auckland, the boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Ellerslie, Mount
Albert, Mount Eden, One Tree Hill, Newmarket, Onehunga,
Otahuhu, Takapuna, Northcote, New Lynn, Manurewa, the town
districts of Henderson, Glen Eden, Howick, and Papatoetoe, the
road districts of Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, and Panmure
Township, and the ridings of Mangere and Papatoetoe in the
County of Manukau.

The Taihape Milk Delivery Notice 1943, Amendment No. 2
PURSUANT to the Milk Delivery Emergency Regulations 1945,*
the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as
follows:-

This notice may be cited as the Taihape Milk Delivery
Notice 1943, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with
and deemed part of the Taihape Milk Delivery Notice 1943† (here-
inafter referred to as “the principal scheme”). -
Clause 7 of the principal scheme is hereby amended by
revoking the words “W. Munro, Taihape,” and substituting the
words “I. A. Jacobsen, Taihape.”
