The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
——
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 10th day of October, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:
Now therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 20th day of December, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two hundred and twenty-four (224) acres and six (6) perches, more or less, being Lot 2 of Section 23, Block V, Cambridge Survey District, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 311, folio 350 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement twenty-one decimal nine (21·9) perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 1 of Lot 3 of Section 23, Block V, Cambridge Survey District, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 681, folio 199 (Auckland Registry).
As witness my hand, this 17th day of November, 1945.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement eighty-two (82) acres one (1) rood twenty-eight (28) perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 27018, being part of Section 15, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 702, folio 398 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two hundred and eighteen (218) acres one (1) rood eighteen (18) perches, more or less, being part of Section 15, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District, and being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 603, folio 2 (Auckland Registry).

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area comprising fifty-five (55) acres eight and three-tenths (8·3) perches, more or less, being Lot 43 on D.P. 6256 and part of Lot 15 on D.P. 8799, and being parts Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2B 8, 2B 9, 2B 10, Block VIII, Mount Robinson Survey District, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 501, folio 46 (Wellington Registry).
As witness my hand, this 19th day of November, 1945.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
——
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Raumati Extension No. 63, affecting part Section 2, Wainui Registration District, Block I, Paekakariki Survey District, Wellington Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown as Lot 19 thereon should be of the width of 66 ft.:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the road shown as Lot 19 of a width of not less than 50 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 19th day of November, 1945.
