CROWN LANDS NOTICE
Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease
District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 18th September, 1945.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 8th October, 1945.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 9th October, 1945, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their financial position and farming experience.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at the conclusion of the ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND
Waimairi County.—Christchurch Survey District.—Avonhead No. 2 Settlement
(Exempt from payment of rent for one year.*)
Lot 4 of Section 16, Block X: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 21·4 perches. Capital value, £150; half-yearly rent, £3 15s.
This area is situated on Avonhead Settlement, Upper Riccarton, on the corner of Withell’s Road and Hawthornden Road, and offers a good residential-site.
- After payment of the prescribed deposit an exemption from the payment of rent for one year will be granted provided that improvements to an equivalent value are effected to the satisfaction of the Land Board.
Any further information required may be obtained from the undersigned.

NOTICE is hereby given that statements of account and balance-sheets in respect of the undermentioned estates, together with the reports of the Audit Office thereon, have been duly filed in the above Court at Auckland and Whangarei respectively; and I hereby further give notice that at the sitting of the said Court to be held at Auckland on Friday, the 28th day of September, 1945, at 10 a.m., or as soon thereafter as application may be heard, I intend to apply for orders releasing me from the administration of the said estates:—

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES
APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of two provisional renewable leases in the name of Sidney Charles Walter Hirst, late of Orepuki, Farm Labourer (now deceased), for Sections 145 and 147, Block II, Longwood District, being all the land comprised in Register-book, Vol. 90, folios 89 and 90 respectively (Southland Registry), and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said renewable leases, I hereby give notice that I will issue such renewable leases as requested after fourteen days from the 20th September, 1945.
