✨ Metropolitan Milk Board Constitution Orders




  1. The Milk Authority for the Auckland Metropolitan Milk
    District (hereinafter referred to as the milk district), being a milk
    district duly constituted under the said Act by Order in Council
    dated the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine
    hundred and forty-five, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-
    eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five,
    at page 839, shall be a Metropolitan Milk Board, to be known
    as the "Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board".

  2. The Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board (hereinafter referred
    to as the Milk Board) shall, subject to the provisions of section
    twenty of the said Act, consist of seven representatives of the
    constituent districts within the milk district.

  3. Each group of constituent districts the names of which
    are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto
    is hereby constituted a combined district for the purpose of the
    election of representatives on the Milk Board.

  4. The number of representatives of each constituent district
    or combined district within the milk district on the Milk Board
    shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the
    name of the constituent district or the group of names of constituent
    districts comprising a combined district.

  5. The first election of members of the Milk Board shall be
    held on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine
    hundred and forty-five, and Norman Royle Chapman, of Auckland,
    Secretary of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, shall be
    the Returning Officer to conduct the said first election; and for
    the purposes of that election--

(a) The offices of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council
shall be deemed to be the offices of the Milk Board :

(b) Clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Milk Board Election
Regulations 1945 shall be read as if the words "twenty-
eight days " were substituted for the words "forty-two
days ".

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of
July, 1945

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
the Milk Act, 1944 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act),
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order
and declare as follows:-

  1. This Order may be cited as the Christchurch Metropolitan
    Milk Board Constitution Order 1945.

  2. The Milk Authority for the Christchurch Metropolitan Milk
    District (hereinafter referred to as the milk district), being a milk
    district duly constituted under the said Act by Order in Council
    dated the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred
    and forty-five, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-eighth day
    of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, at page 839,
    shall be a Metropolitan Milk Board, to be known as the
    "Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board".

  3. The Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board (hereinafter
    referred to as the Milk Board) shall, subject to the provisions of
    section twenty of the said Act, consist of seven representatives of
    the constituent districts within the milk district.

  4. The group of constituent districts, the names of which are
    bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto, is
    hereby constituted a combined district for the purpose of the election
    of representatives on the Milk Board.

  5. The number of representatives of the constituent district
    or of the combined district within the milk district on the Milk
    Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite
    the name of the constituent district or the group of names of
    constituent districts comprising the combined district.

  6. The first election of members of the Milk Board shall be
    held on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine
    hundred and forty-five, and Herbert Stanley Feast, of Christchurch,
    Town Clerk, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the said
    first election; and for the purposes of that election-

(a) The offices of the Christchurch City Council shall be deemed
to be the offices of the Milk Board:

(b) Clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Milk Board Election
Regulations 1945 shall be read as if the words "twenty-
eight days" were substituted for the words "forty-two
days".
