Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities and prescribing the Conditions thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of June, 1945
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the several local authorities enumerated in the Schedule hereto propose, pursuant to the provisions of section thirty of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, to raise the respective loans stated opposite their names therein for the purpose of paying administration expenses:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the respective local authorities mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule of the respective loans set out in the second column of the said Schedule up to the respective amounts specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:-
(1) The rates of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loans or any parts thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds fifteen shillings (£3 15s.) per centum per annum.
(2) The said respective loans or any parts thereof shall be repaid prior to the respective dates set out in the fourth column of the said Schedule.
(3) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Appointing Two Qualified Persons to be Representatives of a Combined District on the Southland Catchment Board
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, the constituent districts of Invercargill City, South Invercargill Borough, Riverton Borough, and Bluff Borough were declared to be a combined district within the Southland Catchment District, in terms of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941 :
And whereas the said combined district failed at the first election of representatives of the constituent or combined districts, within the Southland Catchment District, to elect the required number of representatives on the Southland Catchment Board :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section fifty-one of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—
Ewen John McLauchlan, Esquire, Law Clerk, 32 Beatrice Street, Invercargill, and
Frank Holloway, Esquire, Merchant, Leet Street, Invercargill,
to be the representatives of the combined district, comprising the constituent districts of Invercargill City, South Invercargill Borough, Riverton Borough, and Bluff Borough, within the Southland Catchment District on the Southland Catchment Board.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 29th day of June, 1945.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
William Kenneth Cameron
to be a member of the Bluff Harbour Board in place of John Cameron, deceased.
