At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of June, 1945
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto a milk district under the said Act, as from the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and doth hereby assign to such milk district the name of the ‘Auckland Metropolitan Milk District’.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, comprising the City of Auckland, the boroughs of Devonport, Takapuna, Birkenhead, Northcote, New Lynn, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, One Tree Hill, Onehunga, Ellerslie, Otahuhu, Manurewa, and Papakura, the town districts of Henderson, Glen Eden, Howick, and Papatoetoe, the road districts of Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Panmure Township, Ostend, and Orapiu, the Titirangi, Waikumete, Takapuna, and portions of Waitakere, Waipareira, and Birkenhead Ridings of the Waitemata County, and the Mangere, Pakuranga, and portions of the Papatoetoe and Papakura Ridings of the Manukau County, the Auckland Domain and Hospital Reserve of the Eden County, the Port of Auckland and the Port of Manukau, and Pine, Brown’s, and Motuihi Islands, and any other islands within the limits of the ports of Auckland and Manukau, and that portion of Waiheke Island not under the control of a local body : Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the west coast, being the western corner of Wekatahi Block, and running north-easterly generally along the north-western boundary of that block and its production to the middle of the Anawhata Road; thence along the middle of the said road, to and along the middle of the Waikumete-West Coast Road, the middle of the Waitakere Scenic Drive, the middle of Forest Hill and Parr’s Cross Roads, to the middle of the Oratia Stream; thence down the middle of that stream, to and along the southern, western, and northern boundaries of the Henderson Town District to the Henderson Creek; thence northerly generally down the western side of that creek, to and along the high-water mark and the high-water mark of the Waitemata Harbour to the middle of the northern end of Lucken’s Road; thence along the middle of that road, to and along the middle of Hobsonville Main Road, to and along the middle of Hill and Trig Roads to the middle of Brigham’s Creek-Hobsonville Road; thence along the middle of that road, to and along the middle of Riverlea Wharf Road to the high-water mark of the Waitemata Harbour; thence westerly, northerly, and easterly generally along the said high-water mark to the middle of Glendhu Road, being a point on the shores of Hellyer’s Creek; thence along the middle of the said Glendhu Road, to and along the middle of Wairau Road to a point being the production south-westward of the north-western boundary of Allotment 105, Takapuna Parish; thence again in a northerly direction generally along a right line, to and along the north-western boundary of the said Allotment 105, to and along the south-western boundaries of Allotments 243, 241, and 232, a right line across Cut Hill-East Coast Road, to and along the south-western boundary of Allotment 200 to its western corner, the aforesaid allotments being of Takapuna Parish; thence along a right line from the last-mentioned corner to the western corner of Allotment 169, Paremoremo Parish; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Spencer’s Road to a point being the production south-easterly of the south-western boundary of Allotment 177, Paremoremo Parish, again northerly across Spencer’s Road aforesaid, to and along the south-western boundary of Allotment 177 aforesaid and the south-western and north-western boundaries of Allotment 324, the western boundaries of Allotments 321, 320, and 158, the southern and western boundaries of Allotment 179, the western boundary of Allotment 301, the southern boundaries of Allotments 298, 297, and 366, and a right line running due west from the southern corner of the last-mentioned allotment to the middle of a public road; thence along the middle of that road and the middle of the road forming the western boundary of Allotment 305 to a point being the production south-easterly of the south-western boundary of Allotment S. 304; thence along a right line, to and along the south-western boundaries of the last-mentioned allotment and Allotment M. 304, to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 292 and the last-mentioned boundary produced north-westerly to the middle of a public road, all the aforesaid allotments being of Pukeatua Parish; thence along the middle of the said public road which forms the south-western boundaries generally of Allotments 85, 78, 79, 80, and 86 to a point being the production westward of the northern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of the said Allotment 86 and Allotments 87, 52, 53, 54, 55, and 56, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the high-water mark of the Okura River, the aforesaid allotment being of Okura Parish; thence along the said high-water mark and southerly generally along the high-water mark of the Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto Channel to the limits of the Port of Auckland; thence easterly by the limits of the said port, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 38 of the 21st day of May, 1925, page 1555, to the northern extremity of the western entrance point of Owhanake Bay, Waiheke Island; thence along the northern, eastern, and southern shores of the said island to the southern extremity of Park Point, and along a right line, being another boundary of the limits of the Port of Auckland aforesaid,
to the northern extremity of the eastern head of Tamaki River (Musick Point); thence southerly generally along the shores of Tamaki Strait and up the left bank of the Maungamaungaroa Creek, to and along the southern boundary of Allotment 235, Pakuranga Parish, and that boundary produced across Ridge Road, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Allotment 116 of the said parish and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the East Tamaki-Howick Road; thence along the middle of that road, the middle of Chapel Road, and across Boundary Road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Clendon’s Grant and a right line, being the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to the middle of the Alfriston-Brookby Road; thence along the middle of that road and the middle of the Alfriston-Ardmore Road, to and along the middle of the Takanini-Clevedon Road, to and along the middle of a public road forming the north-eastern boundary of Allotments 35 and 42, Papakura Parish, to the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Papakura; thence along the northern, eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the said borough to the shores of the Manukau Harbour; thence westerly generally along the southern shores of that harbour to and along a right line across the Manukau Heads, as described in the Manukau Harbour Control Act, 1911; thence northerly along the west coast to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 76/15, deposited in the office of the Milk Marketing Division of the Marketing Department, Wellington, and thereon edged yellow.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-eastern corner of Rural Section 3060 in Block V, Christchurch Survey District, being a point at the intersection of the northern side of Harewood Road with the western side of Fleshborn Road; thence proceeding northerly along the said western side of Fleshborn Road and its production by a right line to a point on the right bank of the north branch of the Waimakariri River; thence easterly generally along the said right bank of that river and following the present course along the right bank of the cut at Bridge Road (closed road) and along the right bank of Stewart’s Gully; thence south-easterly down the Waimakariri River to the lagoon at the mouth; thence southerly along the western shore of the said lagoon to the sea at the eastern end of Heyder’s Road; thence generally south-easterly and north-westerly by the sea and the estuary of the Heathcote and Avon Rivers to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 11213; thence south-westerly by a right line to and by the estuary of the Heathcote River to the Heathcote Bridge; thence across the Heathcote Bridge and River aforesaid and easterly generally by the said estuary and the mean high-water mark of the sea to Godley Head; thence towards the south generally by the mean high-water mark of Lyttelton Harbour to a point due south of the Trig. Station MM; thence by a right line due north through the said Trig. Station MM to the northern side of Rural Section 36827 (closed road); thence south-westerly along the said Rural Section 36827 (closed road), Rural Section 36826 (closed road), and Rural Section 36825 (closed road) to and across Lyttelton-Summer Road at Evans Pass; thence southerly by a right line to the southern side of the track near the eastern boundary of Rural Section 205; thence in a westerly direction along that track and the southern side of Rural Section 33906x (closed road) to its junction with the eastern boundary of Rural Section 500 (closed road); thence northerly and westerly along the western and southern sides of that rural section and along a right line through the geodetic station Mount Pleasant on bearing 266°11’, to and along the northern boundary of Rural Section 34917 and the northern boundary of Reserve 101 to its north-western corner, being a point on the Summit Road; thence south-westerly generally along the said Summit Road to its junction with Worsley’s Track; thence north-westerly by the said Worsley’s Track running through Rural Sections 493 and 10210, along the south-western boundaries of Rural Sections 31363, 31362, 2063, and the western boundary of Reserve 3504 to its north-western corner; thence across Worsley’s Track aforesaid to the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 502; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Rural Section 502 to the north-western corner thereof; thence westerly along the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Section 1324 to Hoon Hay Road; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along that road to Quarry Road; thence northerly along that road to its intersection with the Halswell Junction Road; thence north-westerly along that road following the closed road portion forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Sections 32195 and 7686 to the Main South Road; thence by a right line in production of
