Government Orders and Consents




for the said purpose up to the amount of ten thousand pounds
(£10,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as
follows :-

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may
be raised shall not exceed twenty-five (25) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said
loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the
lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds ten shillings
(£3 10s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan or any part thereof shall be repaid by equal
half-yearly instalments of principal of not less than two hundred
pounds (£200), each extending over the term as determined in (1)
above.

(4) The payment of interest and instalments of principal in
respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no
amount payable as interest or principal shall be paid out of loan-
moneys.

(5) The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procura-
tion fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof
shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount
raised.

(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the
expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the thirty-first day
of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four (herein-
after referred to as “the said Order in Council”), and subject to the
determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out,
consent was given to the borrowing of moneys by the King-country
Electric-power Board (hereinafter referred to as “the said local
authority”), by way of bank overdraft under section seventy-one
of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925:
And whereas it was provided by the said Order in Council that
the total amount owing (including unpaid interest, if any) of moneys
borrowed thereunder should not on the thirty-first day of March,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, exceed the sum of two
thousand pounds (£2,000):
And whereas it was also provided by the said Order in Council
that no moneys should be borrowed under the authority contained
therein after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-five:
And whereas the amount outstanding of moneys borrowed
under the said Order in Council as at the thirty-first day of March,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, amounted to one
thousand and seventy-one pounds ten shillings and elevenpence
(£1,071 10s. 11d.):
And whereas it is expedient to authorize the said local authority
to borrow further moneys by way of bank overdraft under the said
section seventy-one, but so that the total amount outstanding by
way of bank overdraft under the said section seventy-one as at the
thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six
(including unpaid interest, if any), shall not exceed the sum of
two thousand pounds (£2,000):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by
section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,
as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2),
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the borrowing of moneys by the said local
authority under the said section seventy-one, and in giving such
consent doth determine as follows :-

(1) Such borrowing may be from time to time by way of bank
overdraft.

(2) The rate of interest payable from time to time shall not
exceed the current bank overdraft rate of interest to best customers.

(3) No moneys shall be borrowed under this authority at any
time after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-six.

(4) The total amount owing (including unpaid interest, if any)
of moneys borrowed by way of bank overdraft under the said
section seventy-one shall not on the thirty-first day of March, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-six, exceed the sum of two
thousand pounds (2,000).

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance of the powers conferred on him by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the Order in Council
made under the said Act dated the eighteenth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-five, appearing in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 26 of the nineteenth idem at page 406, by deleting
condition No. 3 appearing under the heading “Wellington
Acclimatization District” in the Schedule to such Order in Council,
and by inserting in lieu thereof the following :-

“3. Officers authorized to issue trappers’ licenses: Chief
Postmasters, Wellington and Palmerston North; Postmasters,
Petone, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Featherston, Greytown, Masterton,
Carterton, Martinborough, Eketahuna, Pahiatiua, Paekakariki,
Waikanae, Paraparaumu, Otaki, Levin, Shannon, Bulls, Feilding,
Marton, Halcombe, Turakina, Hunterville, Mangaweka, and
Taihape.”

under the Cemeteries Act, 1908

PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke, in so far only as it
relates to the Rotherham Public Cemetery, the Order in Council
delegating powers under the said Act made on the eighteenth day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and
published in the Gazette on the twenty-first day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, at page 2429, whereby
powers of appointing and removing trustees in respect of the
Rotherham Public Cemetery were delegated to the Amuri County
Council.

delegating powers under the said Act made on the twenty-seventh
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and
published in the Gazette on the third day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-four, at page 1217, whereby powers of appointing
and removing trustees in respect of the Wyndham Public Cemetery
were delegated to the Southland County Council.
