Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures
District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, 20th June, 1945.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 10th July, 1945.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, 12th July, 1945, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND
Southland County.—Campbelltown Hundred
SECTION 2, Block XIII: Area, 114 acres 3 roods 13 perches. Capital value, £250. Deposit on deferred payments, £10. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: twenty years), £9 19s. 5d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £5.
Weighted with £315 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising dwelling and outbuildings.
This section is situated near Te Wai Point across the harbour from Bluff Township.
The land is practically all level running from sandy loam to swamp, half being manuka scrub; 10 acres of the balance have been cleared and remainder comprises tussock, rushes, and native grasses. Owing to difficulty of access the section is suitable only for adjoining owner.
