DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between NEIL ALEXANDER MCCAW and JAMES WILLIAM PETERSON, both of Dunedin, Cabinetmakers, carrying on business as cabinetmakers at No. 35 Macandrew Road, Dunedin, under the name of “McCaw and Peterson,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 13th day of June, 1945. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Neil Alexander McCaw, who will continue to carry on the said business under his own name.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

TAKE notice that the partnership heretofore existing between JOSEPH WILLIAM CHIRNEY and JOSEPH EDWARD BULLOCK, carrying on business as joiners and furniture manufacturers under the name of “The Sylvana Furnishing Company” at Ranolf Street, Rotorua, is dissolved as from the 31st May, 1945.

The business will be carried on at Ranolf Street, Rotorua, by Mr. Joseph William Chirney, to whom all claims, demands, and accounts may be forwarded.

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT, 1932–33, AND THE MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSION ORDER 1934 (No. 1)

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Mount Eden Borough Loans Conversion Order 1934 (No. 1), and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Mount Eden Borough Council at a meeting held on the 17th day of April, 1945, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of all debentures maturing on the 1st day of April, 1951, of the Mount Eden Borough Conversion Loan, 1934 (No. 1), and public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Mount Eden Borough Council’s intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on the 1st day of April, 1946, and interest thereon will cease on the said day, viz. :

Debentures Nos. 1729 to 1928 (inclusive) maturing on the 1st April, 1951.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Conversion Redemption Loan, 1945

AT a meeting of the Te Kuiti Borough Council held on the 12th June, 1945, the following resolution was passed :

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500), authorized to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned act, for the purpose of redeeming on 1st July, 1945, debentures amounting to one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500) in the Te Kuiti Borough Conversion Loan, 1934, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-farthing (¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen (14) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that an order made by the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch on the 18th day of May, 1945, confirming a reduction of the share capital of the above company from £34,500 to £22,425 and the minute of the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered by the order the particulars required by the Act, were on the 29th day of May, 1945, registered by the Assistant-Registrar of Companies at Hokitika in accordance with the provisions of the above Act.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City New Office Building Loan, 1942, of £40,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 13th June, 1945 :

“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purposes of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000), to be known as the Wellington City New Office Building Loan, 1942, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the provision of office accommodation to replace buildings damaged by earthquake, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three eight-hundredths of a penny (33/800d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the 1st day of September, 1945, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
