Price Order No. 301 (Amending Price Order No. 291) (Meat sold in Abattoir Districts)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:-
- This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 301, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 291† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Order").
- This Order shall come into force on the 19th day of January, 1945.
- (1) For the purposes of the principal Order the basic price for tripe shall be:-
In the North Island .. .. .. 6d. per pound.
Elsewhere .. .. .. 7d. per pound.
(2) The principal Order is hereby consequentially amended by revoking the references to tripe in the First Schedule thereto.

Price Order No. 302 (Amending Price Order No. 148) (Canned Asparagus)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:-
- This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 302, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 148† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Order").
- This Order shall come into force on the 19th day of January, 1945.
- The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:-
(a) By inserting, after the reference to 14½ oz. tins in paragraph (a) of clause 4, the following:-
"16 oz. tin: 18s. 3d. per dozen, plus sales tax."
(b) By inserting, after the reference to 14½ oz. tins in paragraph (b) of clause 4, the following:-
"16 oz. tin: 18s. 8d. per dozen, plus sales tax."
(c) By inserting, after the reference to 14½ oz. tins in paragraph (a) of clause 5, the following:-
"16 oz. tin: 2s. 2d. each."
(d) By inserting, after the reference to 14½ oz. tins in paragraph (b) of clause 5, the following:-
"16 oz. tin: 2s. 2½d. each."

- The First Schedule to the principal Order, as set out in Price Order No. 282‡, is hereby revoked, and the following Schedule substituted therefor:-

CROWN LANDS NOTICES
Land in Gisborne Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures
District Lands and Survey Office,
Gisborne, 16th January, 1945.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 7th February, 1945.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on Friday, 9th February, 1945, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants are required to produce documentary evidence of their farming experience and financial position.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements, and lease and mortgage fees.
