Weighted with £2,275 for improvements, comprising old eight-
roomed dwelling, wool-shed, garage, approximately 460 chains
internal fencing and half-share 570 chains boundary-fencing, small
plantation, felling, and grassing. This sum is payable in cash, or
on such terms as may be arranged with the State Advances
Corporation prior to the ballot. Applicants will require to produce
evidence to the Land Board of the terms so arranged. Buildings
and fencing are in poor condition.
This property is situated up the Waimata Valley, twelve miles
from Waimata Post-office and School, and thirty-one miles from
Gisborne; access is by metalled road. It comprises generally
steep hill country. About 70 acres are in bush, but the balance of
the area has been cleared and sown. Pastures are fair to good on
about 350 acres, whilst the balance of the cleared area, about
1,250 acres, is in native grasses and scrub.
The section is subdivided into twelve paddocks, and is well
watered. The property is considered unsuitable as a separate
farming unit and should be worked with other land in the vicinity.

Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 16th January, 1945.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, 30th
January, 1945.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building, Wellington,
on Wednesday, 31st January, 1945, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any
applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount
in reduction of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.--SUBURBAN LAND
Waimarino County.--Rangitaua Township
SECTION 14, Block X : Area, 11 acres 0 roods 19 perches. Capital
value, £22 10s.; half-yearly rent, 11s 3d.
Weighted with £218 for improvements, comprising felling,
grassing, stumping, and five-roomed dwelling (in poor order).
This sum is payable in cash or on terms to be arranged with the
State Advances Corporation and the previous lessee prior to the
ballot.
This section is situated on the Piwau Road, half a mile by
metalled road from Rangataua Post-office and Railway-station;
the dairy factory at Ohakune and the saleyards at Raetihi are four
and nine miles distant respectively. The area is flat to undulating,
somewhat swampy, with a soil of fair loam resting on an agglomerate
formation; watered by springs. The property is subdivided into
four paddocks, and is suitable as a cottage-farm for a man who is
prepared to do some cropping as a side line. Altitude, approximately
2,300 ft. The whole area has been felled, and 5 acres have been
stumped.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES
APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a new
certificate of title in the name of CLARENCE MASTERS,
of Taihape, Accountant, for all that parcel of land containing

D.P. 362, being part of the Heretaunga Block, and being all the
