The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades

Office of the Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 3rd April, 1945.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.

Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st April to 30th April, 1945:—

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 7th day of March, 1945, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 7th day of June, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and thirty-five (135) acres one (1) rood twenty-eight (28) perches, more or less, being Lots 18 and 22 on Deposited Plan 4921, situated in Block XIII, Mount Robinson Survey District, and being part of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 7D No. 3 Block, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 497, folio 86 (Wellington Registry).

As witness my hand, this 3rd day of April, 1945.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II (Unclaimed Lands)

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiry with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent hereto : And whereas the owner has not established his title to the said lands as required by that Act, I hereby give notice that the said lands are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, the value of the lands for the purposes of section 67 (d) of that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).

ALL that parcel of land containing 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 11, Parish of Te Mania, Cooks County : Bounded on the north-east by Allotment 10, 3100 links ; on the south-east by a road 100 links wide, 672 links, 1068 links, and 300 links ; on the south-west by Allotment 12, 2600 links ; and on the north-west by a road of width aforesaid 1049 links and 830 links, and being the whole of the land described in an unregistered Crown Grant to Hugh Brown, late a private in the 1st Regiment of the Waikato Militia.
