side of Seaview Road; thence northerly along the western
side of Seaview Road to the northern boundary of Section 20,
Harbour District; thence westerly along the northern
boundary of Section 20, Harbour District, and along the
mean high-water mark, being the southern boundary of land
reclaimed from Port Nicholson, as shown on S.O. plan 19810,
to the south-western corner of the said reclaimed land;
thence northerly along the mean high-water mark forming
the western boundary of the said reclaimed land to a point
in line with the southern side of Marine Parade, Borough
of Petone; thence along a right line to the intersection of
the southern side of Marine Parade with the western side
of the western branch of the Hutt River forming the
boundary of the Borough of Petone; thence northerly and
westerly along the boundary of the Borough of Petone to
the westernmost corner of Section 16, Hutt District, the
point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF HUTT
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded,
commencing at a point in the middle and at the mouth of
the Waikanae River; thence in an easterly direction generally
along the middle of the Waikanae River to and along the
eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the
north-western corner of Subdivision 23 of Ngarara West C
Block; thence along the northern boundary of Subdivision 23
aforesaid and its production to the middle of the Waikanae-
Reikiorangi Road; thence along the middle of that road to
and along the middle of Ngatiawa Road, to and along the
middle of a branch road through Section 43, Block X, Kai-
tawa Survey District, to the middle of Ngatiawa River;
thence along the middle of the Ngatiawa River to the
northern boundary of Ngarara West C 18 Section 2; thence
along the northern boundaries of Ngarara West C 18
Sections 2 and 1, the western and northern boundaries of
Section 8, and the northern boundary of Section 10,
Block III, Akatarawa Survey District, to the north-eastern
corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along a right
line to summit of Mount Hector in Block I, Eritonga Survey
District; thence in a general southerly direction along the
summit of the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges to the northern
boundary of Orongorongo 1A Block, situated in Block IX,
Pencarrow Survey District; thence along the last-mentioned
boundary to the mean high-water mark of the sea at
Palliser Bay; thence southerly, westerly, and northerly along
the mean high-water mark of the sea and Port Nicholson
to the southern boundary of the Borough of Eastbourne, as
described in New Zealand Gazette, 1935, page 1742; thence
along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of the
Borough of Eastbourne aforesaid to the mean high-water
mark of Port Nicholson; thence northerly along the mean
high-water mark to the southern boundary of the City of
Lower Hutt described in the First Schedule; thence along
the southern, eastern, northern, and western boundaries of
the City of Lower Hutt to and along the northern boundaries
of the Borough of Petone, as described in New Zealand
Gazette, 1888, page 740, to the north-eastern corner of
Section 78, Horokiwi Road District; thence along the
northern boundary of Section 78 aforesaid to its north-
western corner; thence northerly generally along the western
boundary of Section 39, Maungaraki Settlement, the western
boundaries of Subdivisions 3, 6, 4, 5, and 7 of the Maunga-
raki Native Reserve, the western boundaries of Sections 41
and 40, Normandale Settlement, and the western boundaries
of Sections 329, 330, 331, 339, 340, and 343, Hutt District,
to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section;
thence along the northern boundary of Section 343 aforesaid,
the eastern boundaries of Sections 344 and 348, Hutt District,
to the southern boundary of Lot 12 on Deposited Plan 3138;
thence along the southern boundaries of Lots 12, 11, 10, and
9 on Deposited Plan 3138, being subdivisions of Section 352,
Hutt District, and Sections 39, 37, and 35, Tukapu District,
to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence
along the western boundary of Lot 9 aforesaid and the south-
western boundaries of Lots 3 and 1 on Deposited Plan 3138,
being subdivisions of Sections 33, 31, and 30, Tukapu District,
to the eastern boundary of Section 99, Block VIII, Paekaka-
riki Survey District; thence along the eastern and northern
boundaries of Section 99 aforesaid to the Porirua Harbour;
and thence along the shore of. Porirua Harbour and the
sea-coast to a point in the middle of the Waikanae River,
the point of commencement; and excluding therefrom the
Borough of Upper Hutt, as described in New Zealand
Gazette, 1927, page 3287.

BOUNDARIES OF THE EPUNI RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF HUTT
ALL that portion of the County of Hutt, bounded, com-
mencing at the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of
Section 231, Hutt District, with the eastern boundary of the
City of Lower Hutt, as described in the First Schedule;
thence northerly, westerly, and south-westerly generally along
the boundaries of City of Lower Hutt aforesaid, to and
along the northern boundary of the Borough of Petone, as
described in New Zealand Gazette, 1888, page 740, to the
north-eastern corner of Section 78, Horokiwi Road District;
thence northerly generally along the western boundary of the
County of Hutt, as described in the Second Schedule, to the
north-western corner of Section 331, Hutt District; thence
easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 331
to its intersection with the western boundary of Block III,
Belmont Survey District; thence easterly and northerly
along the southern and eastern boundaries of the said
Block III, Belmont Survey District, to the south-western
corner of Section 200A, Hutt District; thence north-easterly
along the western boundaries of Sections 200A, 200, 198, 197,
196A, and 196, Hutt District, to the north-western boundary
of the last-mentioned section; thence along the north-western
boundary of the said Section 196 to its north-eastern corner;
thence south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of
Sections 196 and 178, Hutt District, to a point in line with
the production of the north-eastern boundary of Section 191;
thence south-easterly to and along the northern boundary of
the said Section 191 and Section 204, Hutt District, to the
easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence
south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections
204 and 205 to the north-eastern boundary of Section 248,
Hutt District; thence along the north-eastern and south-
eastern boundaries of said Section 248 to the north-western
corner of Section 235; thence southerly along the western
boundaries of Sections 235, 236, and 237, Hutt District, to
the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence
south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections
233, 232, and 231, Hutt District, to the eastern boundary of
the City of Lower Hutt, the point of commencement.
FOURTH SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAINUIOMATA RIDING OF THE COUNTY
OF HUTT
ALL that portion of the County of Hutt, bounded, com-
mencing at the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of
the Wellington Waterworks Reserve in Block IX, Rimutaka
Survey District, with the eastern boundary of County of
Hutt, as described in the Second Schedule; thence southerly,
westerly, and northerly along the boundaries of County of
Hutt to its intersection with the southern boundary of
Section 231, Hutt District; thence north-easterly along the
south-eastern boundaries of Sections 231 and 232, Hutt
District, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned
section; thence along the western and southern boundaries
of Section 8, Block XV, Belmont Survey District, and the
southern boundaries of Sections 7 and 6, Block VIII, Rimu-
taka Survey District, to the easternmost corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence north-easterly and south-easterly
along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of the
Wellington Waterworks Reserve to its intersection with the
county boundary, the place of commencement.

Warrant approving the Provisions of Additional Indication of the
Presence and Position of Authorized Pedestrian-crossings
IN terms of Regulation 20 of the Traffic (Road-crossing) Regula-
tions 1942* the Minister of Transport (1) does hereby approve
the provision by any controlling authority of additional indication
of the presence and position of any authorized pedestrian-crossing
by the device described in the Schedule hereto; (2) does hereby
consequentially revoke the Warrant issued for a similar purpose
dated the 24th day of March, 1941, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 26 of the 27th March, 1941, at page 753.
SCHEDULE
An amber or yellow coloured sphere not less than 11 in. in diameter
placed in a position surmounting the post or pole which is required
to indicate the presence and position of an authorized pedestrian-
crossing in terms of the said regulations.
