The Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, and its Amendments.—Fixing the Closing-hours of Fruiterers’ Shops within the Borough of Pahiatua
WHEREAS a requisition in writing has been forwarded to the Minister of Labour from the occupiers of fruiterers’ shops within the Borough of Pahiatua, pursuant to section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22 :
And whereas he is satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops within the said borough :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 32, the Minister of Labour doth hereby direct that on and after the 9th day of April, 1945, all the said shops within the said borough shall be closed on the evening of working-days as follows : On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 p.m., on Fridays at 9.30 p.m., and on Saturdays at 8.30 p.m. during the months of April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November in each year.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades
Office of the Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 12th March, 1945.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st March to 31st March, 1945 :—
Loose packed fresh lemons, Preferred Commercial Grade .. .. .. .. 9s. 6d.
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade .. .. .. .. 8s. 0d.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land
I, CLARENCE FARRINGDON SKINNER, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby give notice of my intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act.
I specify the 28th day of February, 1946, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of April, 1945, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing approximately 300 acres, being part of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 3529, and being also part of the Oringi-Waiaruhe No. 2 Block, situated in Block IX, Tahoraiti Survey District, being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 100, folio 190 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land
I, CLARENCE FARRINGDON SKINNER, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby give notice of my intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act :
I specify the 1st day of February, 1946, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 1st day of May, 1945, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

FIRSTLY, all those pieces or parcels of land containing 164 acres, more or less, situated in Block XV, Ruataniwha Survey District, being Lot 31 and part of Lot 32 on Deposited Plan No. 1406, being also part of Blocks 60, 182, and 191, Ruataniwha Crown Grant District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 17, folio 115 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).
Secondly, all those pieces or parcels of land containing 504 acres 3 roods, more or less, situated in Block XV, Ruataniwha Survey District, being Lots 26 and 30 on Deposited Plan No. 1406, being also part of Blocks 59, 60, 182, 191, and 192, Ruataniwha Crown Grant District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 17, folio 116 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 20th day of February, 1946, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of April, 1945, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred and thirty-three (133) acres, more or less, being Section 9, Block XI, Mangahao Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 46, folio 20 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one (1) acre three (3) roods and three and four-tenths (3.4) perches, more or less, being Lot 9A, D.P. 1664, being part of a closed road, Block XI, Mangahao Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 218, folio 77 (Wellington Registry).
Also all those parcels of land containing by admeasurement six hundred and eighteen (618) acres and six (6) perches, more or less, and being Subdivisions 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6, and part Subdivision 7 of Pahiatua Block ; also pieces of a closed road, being parts Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 1664, Block XI, Mangahao Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 254, folio 206 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement three hundred and ninety-two (392) acres three (3) roods and thirty-two (32) perches, more or less, being Section 55, Block XI, Mangahao Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 381, folio 91 (Wellington Registry).

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :—
A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize them to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

The Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 5
PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

This notice may be cited as the Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 5, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942* (hereinafter referred to as "the principal scheme").

Clause (6) of the principal scheme, as amended by the Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme 1942, Amendment No. 1, is hereby further amended by revoking in the description of Zone No. 10 the words "(2) R. S. Berrigan," and substituting therefor the words "(2) Norval Temperton."
