NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK VI, HAUTAPU SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR A GRAVEL-PIT

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangitikei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take land for a gravel-pit, and for the purposes of such gravel-pit the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land required to be taken is deposited at the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situate at the corner of High Street and William Street, Marton, and at the office of the said Council situate at the corner of Hautapu Street and Kotare Street, Taihape, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Acting County Clerk at the Council Chambers at Marton.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF CHRISTIAN NAME

I, LAWRENCE GORDON BURNETT, of Gisborne, Motor-body Builder, now lately called CLARENCE GORDON BURNETT, hereby give notice that on the 15th day of February, 1945, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said first Christian name of CLARENCE and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the first Christian name of LAWRENCE instead of the said first Christian name of CLARENCE.

And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 15th day of February, 1945, duly executed and filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Gisborne on the 16th day of February, 1945, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said first Christian name of CLARENCE and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the first Christian name LAWRENCE instead of CLARENCE, and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the Christian names of LAWRENCE GORDON, being the said adopted first Christian name of LAWRENCE and my second Christian name of GORDON.
