NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT, 1932-33, AND THE WHANGAREI BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSIONS ORDER 1934 (No. 2)

IN pursuance of section 16 of the Whangarei Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 2), and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Whangarei Borough Council at a meeting held on the 5th day of December, 1944, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of all debentures maturing on the

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges upon the said sums of £2,600 and £1,650, special rates be and the same are hereby made and levied under the authority of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, of 0·076985d. and 0·06778d. respectively in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei, comprising the whole of the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rates shall be for the year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1945, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1946, and shall be continuing rates thereafter up to the 31st day of March, 1960, and shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of June in each year, and that of the said special rates the sums of £246 13s. 6d. and £218 4s. 10d. shall be permanently appropriated and pledged for the purpose of securing the amounts payable in respect of the said loan.”
