Notice of Intention to take Land for Housing Purposes in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, and Block II, Otahuhu Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Auckland and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Alteration of Boundaries of Te Aroha - Katikati Fire District

WHEREAS by a notice published in the Gazette on the 11th day of December, 1924, at page 2927 (hereinafter referred to as “the said notice”), a certain area in the Auckland Land District was declared to be a fire district under section 27 of the Forests Act, 1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and named the Te Aroha - Katikati Fire District:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the Te Aroha - Katikati Fire District:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Director of Forestry and of the Land Board of the Auckland Land District, I hereby revoke the said notice in so far as it relates to the Te Aroha - Katikati Fire District, and do declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district to be known as the Te Aroha - Katikati Fire District, and, with respect to the fire district constituted as aforesaid, I do further specify the period from the 16th day of October in any year to the 15th day of April in the following year inclusive as the period during which it shall not be lawful for any person, save pursuant to the written permit of a Forest Officer, to set on fire or cause to be set on fire any timber, whether standing or not, or any undergrowth, or any debris from forest operations or land-clearing operations, or any grass or other specially inflammable material without taking such precautions as may be prescribed by a Forest Officer.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
Te Aroha - Katikati Fire District

All that area in the Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 41,720 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks III, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII, Aroha Survey District, Blocks III, IV, VII, VIII, and XI, Katikati Survey District, and Blocks I and X, Aongatete Survey District, in the Counties of Ohinemuri, Tauranga, and Piako, and the Borough of Te Aroha, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 5, Block VI, Aroha Survey District; thence towards the north by a provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 925), Section 6, Block VI aforesaid, and the crossing of a road; towards the north-west by the said road, Section 4, Block VI, and Section 30, Block II, Aroha Survey District; towards the north by Sections 27 and 32, Block III, Aroha Survey District, the crossing of a road, by the said road, and Sections 35, 34, and 3, Block III aforesaid; towards the east by Sections 26, 9, and 42, Block IV, Aroha Survey District, a road, Section 2, Block VIII, and a road; towards the south-east by Section 1, Block XII, Katikati Survey District; towards the north by the said Section 1, Sections 25 and 26, the crossing of a road, and Section 27, Block IV, Katikati Survey District; towards the east by Section 11, Block IV, Katikati Survey District, the crossing of a road, Section 14, the crossing of a road, by the said road, and Section 20, Block IV, Katikati Survey
