Appointing Wednesday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Town District of Bulls

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the Town District of Bulls was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, on the 27th day of May, 1944 :

And whereas the Clerk of the Town District of Bulls has notified the Minister of Labour that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the said town district :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, doth hereby appoint Wednesday as the statutory closing-day in the said town district on and from the 12th day of February, 1945.

The Enemy Trading (Italy) Notice 1945

PURSUANT to clause (2) of Regulation 5 of the Enemy Trading Emergency Regulations 1939, the Minister of Industries and Commerce doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Enemy Trading (Italy) Notice 1945.

  2. Communication in writing is authorized with reference to any commercial, financial, or other matter with any person in any area in Italy which is in the occupation of His Majesty or a Power allied with His Majesty :

Provided that nothing in this notice shall authorize (a) the supply of any goods to or for the benefit of, (b) the obtaining of any goods from, or (c) the payment or transmission of any money, negotiable instrument, or security for money to or for the benefit of any such person.

Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Hunterville Town District.— (Notice No. Ag. 4162)

THE following special order made by the Hunterville Town Board on the 15th day of January, 1945, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER

"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Hunterville Town Board at a special meeting held on Monday, 11th December, 1944, hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that hawthorn, gorse (Ulex europaeus), broom (Cytisus scoparius), being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule of the Act, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council, are noxious weeds within the Hunterville Town District as from the 12th day of March, 1945."

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades

Office of the Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 1st February, 1945.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.

Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st February to 28th February, 1945 :—

Loose packed fresh lemons, Preferred Commercial Grade .. 9s. 6d.
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade .. 8s. 0d.
Loose packed fresh lemons, First-grade Peel .. 4s. 9d.
Loose packed fresh lemons, Second-grade Peel .. 3s. 2d.
Loose packed fresh lemons, Juice Grade .. 1s. 7d.
