Pig Prices Notice 1944, No. 2
PURSUANT to the Pig Marketing Emergency Regulations 1943, the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Pig Prices Notice 1944, No. 2.

The Minister of Marketing hereby fixes the scale of prices set out in the First Schedule hereto as the maximum prices that an operator may pay for pigs of the kinds therein mentioned, which are purchased or killed, as the case may be, during the periods therein mentioned.

The Minister of Marketing hereby fixes the scale of basic values set out in the Second Schedule hereto as the scale according to which the basic value of frozen meat of the classes and grades therein mentioned acquired by the Marketing Department and derived from pigs killed during the periods therein mentioned shall be determined.

The Pig Prices Notice 1944* shall not apply in any case in which this notice applies.
FIRST SCHEDULE
MAXIMUM PRICES AT WHICH PIGS MAY BE PURCHASED BY OPERATORS
I. Purchased at an Auction on a "No Grade" Basis

Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939.—Requisitioning of Land, Buildings, Stock, Implements, and other Goods
In the matter of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939 and of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 2
WHEREAS it appears to me to be necessary and expedient for the effectual exercise of the powers conferred by Regulation 6 of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations") upon the Primary Industries Controller appointed under the principal regulations to take possession of and requisition the land and other property hereinafter described:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in Regulation 4 of the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 2, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, I hereby declare that as from the 1st day of January, 1945, I have taken possession of and requisitioned the land described in the Schedule hereto and all buildings situated thereon, and also all stock, implements, and other goods (within the meaning of that term as defined in the said Regulation 4) which are on or about the said land:
And I direct the Primary Industries Controller aforesaid, or any person or persons appointed by him, to enter and remain on the said land and buildings and hold the same and also the stock, implements, and other goods aforesaid on the said land on my behalf.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 198 acres, more or less, being the Sections numbered 233, 234, and 235, Moa District, Block 9 Huiroa Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 40, folio 179 (Taranaki Land Registry).
Given under my hand, this 19th day of December, 1944.
