Appointment of Officers for the Purposes of Part II of the Fisheries
Act, 1908

BY direction of the Hon. Minister of Marine, it is hereby notified
that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance
of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official
Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed—
Robert Roigard, of Blenheim,
to be an officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned
Act in respect of the Marlborough Acclimatization District.
Gordon Frederick Poole, of Greymouth,
John Alexander Ramsay, of Greymouth, and
James Henry Charles Roberts, of Dobson,
to be officers for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act
in respect of the Westland Acclimatization District.

of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, on and
from the 4th day of December, 1944.
Sergeant Edward Alfred Gatehouse
to be Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Te Kuiti for the purposes
of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1928, on and from the '15th day
of November, 1944.

to be Chief Surveyor for the Canterbury Land District for the
purposes of the Land Act, 1924, on and from the 23rd day of

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, City of
Christchurch
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 1st December, 1944.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His
Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corpora-
tions Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule
hereto may be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included
in the City of Christchurch.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written
objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of bound-
aries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first
publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed
to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF WAIMAIRI
AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH
All that area in the County of Waimairi, Canterbury Land District,
bounded by a line commencing at a point on the existing boundary
of the City of Christchurch (New Zealand Gazette, 1942, pages
2743-4), the said point being on the intersection of the centre-
line of Lincoln Road with the production south-easterly of the
south-western boundary of the land contained in certificate of title,
Vol. 282, folio 111 (Canterbury Registry); thence proceeding north-
westerly by a right line to and along the said south-western boundary
of the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 282, folio 111;
thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that land
and the south-eastern side of Moule Street to Twigger Street; thence
south-easterly along the south-western side of Twigger Street and
its production to the centre-line of Lincoln Road, being a point
on the existing boundary of the City of Christchurch aforesaid ;
thence south-westerly along that boundary to the point of commence-
ment.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Invercargill for the
Purpose of establishing Hotels and Suitable Places for the Sale
and Supply of Refreshments
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Invercargill
Licensing Trust Act, 1944, to take the land described in the
Schedule hereto for the purpose of establishing hotels and suitable
places for the sale and supply of refreshments: And notice is
hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken
is deposited in the post-office at Invercargill and is there open for
inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of such
land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking
of the said land, set forth the same writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the date of the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
27·2 perches.
Being part Section 22, Block X, Town of Invercargill, and being
the whole of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 23, folio 298
(Southland Registry).
Situated in Invercargill Hundred (City of Invercargill)
(Southland R.D.). (S.O. 5614.)
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 120368, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
