THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 18th day of December, 1944, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

ALL that parcel of land containing two hundred and eighty-eight (288) acres and twenty (20) perches, more or less, situated in the North Auckland Land District, being Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 26721, and being Allotments 63 and 64 and part of Allotments 65 and 66, Parish of Maungatapere, and being all the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 687, folio 154 (Auckland Registry).

The Marking of Clothing Control Order 1944
PURSUANT to the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Minister of Supply and Munitions doth hereby order and give notice as follows:—

ORDER
-
This Order may be cited as the Marking of Clothing Control Order 1944.
-
This Order shall come into force on the day next following the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette.
-
This Order shall apply to goods of a kind or class mentioned in the Schedule hereto which have been manufactured in New Zealand.
-
No owner or occupier of a factory within the meaning of the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939† shall, after the 19th day of February, 1945, have in his possession or control, or sell, dispose of, part with the possession or control of, or otherwise deal with any goods to which this Order applies of a kind or class mentioned in the Schedule to this Order unless the goods have marked thereon or affixed thereto a mark approved by the Factory Controller indicating to the satisfaction of the Factory Controller the person by whom the goods were manufactured or, with the prior consent of the Factory Controller, the person for whom the goods have been manufactured.

No person whose business includes the selling of goods of a kind or class mentioned in the Schedule to this Order shall, after the said 19th day of February, 1945, purchase or take possession or control of any goods of that kind or class to which this Order applies unless the goods have marked thereon or affixed thereto a mark which appears to conform to the requirements of clause 4 hereof.

The Machine-tools and Engineering Equipment Control Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1
PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939, I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Machine-tools and Engineering Equipment Control Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Machine-tools and Engineering Equipment Control Notice 1942* (hereinafter referred to as “the principal notice”).

This notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

The principal notice is hereby amended by inserting the following as subclause (2) of clause 3:—
“ (2) This clause shall apply only in respect of metal-working and woodworking equipment, engineering equipment, and machine-tools which have been imported into New Zealand whether before or after the coming into force of this notice.”

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 106 by including therein the undertaking set forth hereunder:—
