Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

Wellington, 24th October, 1944.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid :—

The Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 2
PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

This notice may be cited as the Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Rotorua Milk Delivery Notice 1942† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).

Clause 6 of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “R. F. Morrison, Rotorua,” as substituted by the Rotorua Milk Delivery Scheme, Amendment No. 1, and substituting the words “Allan Alfred Boryer, Rotorua.”

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades
Office of the Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 9th November, 1944.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive) : 1st November to 30th November, 1944 :—

Plant declared to be a Noxious Weed in the Rangitikei County.—(Notice No. Ag. 4150)

THE following special order made by the Rangitikei County Council on the 2nd November, 1944, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.
SPECIAL ORDER
“That, pursuant to the provisions of sections 4 and 5 (c) of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Rangitikei County Council hereby, by special order, declares gorse (Ulex europaeus) to be a noxious weed within the County of Rangitikei, and that this special order shall take effect on the 16th day of November, 1944.”

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 18th day of October, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 1st day of March, 1945, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land containing one hundred and five (105) acres and five (5) perches, more or less, being Section 103 and part of Section 104, Omata District, situated in Block I, Egmont Survey District, and being all the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 51, folio 228 (Taranaki Registry).
As witness my hand, this 21st day of November, 1944.
