Land taken for Road in Blocks XIV and XVIII, Nuhaka North Survey District, Wairoa County

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Crown Land and Provisional State Forest set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land and provisional State forest described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, containing by admeasurement 22,072 acres 2 roods 21 perches, more or less, being Crown land, 20,926 acres 2 roods 21 perches, and provisional State forest, 1,146 acres (Gazette, 1942, pages 1961 and 2372, and Gazette, 1943, page 539), situated in Blocks I, II, III, IV, V, VI, and VII, Tongariro Survey District, and Blocks III and IV, Waimanu Survey District, and being Taurewa No. 4 West A No. 4B, Taurewa No. 4 West A No. 4C, Taurewa No. 4 West B, Taurewa No. 4 West C, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 1, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 2A, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 2B 2, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 2B 3A 2, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 2B 3B 1, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 2B 3C 2, Taurewa No. 4 West E No. 2B 3D, Taurewa No. 4 East B No. 5A, Taurewa No. 4 East B No. 5B 1, and Taurewa No. 4 East B No. 5B 2. As the same is more particularly delineated on plans No. 52/10 and 62/44, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of November, 1944.
