A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of November, 1944

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute and declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto a catchment district under the said Act as from this fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four, and doth hereby assign to such catchment district the name of the “Poverty Bay Catchment District.”
SCHEDULE
ALL those areas in the Gisborne Land District comprising :-
The Borough of Gisborne (New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2910).
The Uawa County (New Zealand Gazette, 1920, page 2787).
That portion of the Waiapu County (New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2607), bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the Waiapu County, being the westernmost point of Lot 6 (D.P. 2209), Block XIV, East Cape Survey District; thence south-easterly by a right line to the intersection of the northern boundary of the Marangairoa 1b Block and the Mangarangiora Stream in Block II, Waiapu Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the Marangairoa 1b Block to the southernmost point of the Marangairoa 1c 1a Block, Block II, Waiapu Survey District; thence south-easterly by a right line to Trigonometrical Station A in Block III, Waiapu Survey District; thence north-easterly by a right line towards Trigonometrical Station B in Block IV, Waiapu Survey District, to and across the East Cape Road to its eastern side; thence continuing north-easterly by said right line to Trigonometrical Station B in Block IV, Waiapu Survey District; thence due east by a right line to the boundary of the Waiapu County at the sea-coast; thence in a southerly, westerly, northerly, and easterly direction along the boundary of the Waiapu County (New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2607) to the point of commencement.
That portion of the Cook County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast on the boundary of the Cook County. (New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2910), being the south-eastern corner of Whareongaonga C 6 Block, Block V, Paritu Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Whareongaonga C 6 Block, to and across Napier-Gisborne Railway to its western side; thence continuing westerly along the southern boundary of aforesaid Whareongaonga C 6 Block to its westernmost corner; thence by the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Subdivision C 10B, Whareongaonga Block, to and across the Wharerata-Opoutama Road in Block VIII, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence northerly along the western side of last-mentioned road to and across the Gisborne-Napier Main Highway to its northern side; thence westerly along the northern side of the said main highway to Puninga Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of Puninga Road to Trigonometrical Station 236 in Block VIII, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence north-westerly by a right line to Trigonometrical Station 78 in Block VII, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence south-westerly by the south-eastern boundary of Section 3, Maraetaha No. 2 Block, Block VII, Nuhaka North Survey District, to the Tokonui to Tarewa Road; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of the last-mentioned road to the north-western corner of Section 3, Block III, Nuhaka North Survey District, at the Mangapoike Valley Road; thence by the eastern side of the Mangapoike Valley Road to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block III, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence across the last-mentioned road to its western side;
