Fixing the Date and Place for the Payment of Social-security Charge
and National-security Tax

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of
September, 1944
Present :
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested
in him under the Social Security Act, 1938, the Finance Act,
1940, and the Social Security Contribution (Companies) Regulations
1943, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and
determine that the social-security charge and national-security
tax payable by any company on its chargeable income for the
income year ended on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and forty-four, shall be paid in one sum on Wednesday,
the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
five :
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authority as aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as
aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the place where
the said social-security charge and national-security tax shall be
payable shall be the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington,
and that notice to the aforegoing effect shall be given by the said
Commissioner accordingly.

The Northern Side of Portion of Cubbabballa Street, in the Borough
of Marton, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the
Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-
line

September, 1944

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public
Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anyway enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
approve of the following resolution passed by the Marton Borough
Council on the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-four, viz. :-
"The Marton Borough Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the Borough of Marton, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not
apply to the northern side of the portion of Cubbabballa Street
adjoining that piece of land containing thirty-five and five-
tenths perches, more or less, situate in the Borough of Marton,
being part of Section 16 on the plan of the Agricultural Reserve
in the Rangitikei District, and being Lot 86 on the plan deposited
in the Deeds Registry Office at Wellington as Number 480, and
being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 337,
folio 270 " ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the
portion of Cubbabballa Street (described in the Schedule hereto)
within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the
said portion of street.
SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that portion of street situated in the
Wellington Land District, Borough of Marton, known as Cubbabballa
Street, fronting part of Section 16, Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve,
being Lot 86 on Deeds Plan No. 480. As the said portion of street
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 120079,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

Oamaru, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public
Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public
Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anyway enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
approve of the following resolution passed by the Oamaru Borough Council
on the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-four, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more
particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :-
"The Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of
Oamaru, being the local authority having control of the streets
in the Borough of Oamaru, by resolution declares that the pro-
visions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that part of the northern
side of Weaver Street abutting on Allotments Six (6), Seven (7),
and Eight (8), Plan Number 186, Oamaru District, such allot-
ments being comprised in Certificate of Title, Register-book,
Volume 237, folio 25 '' ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the
portion of Weaver Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a
distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion
of street.
SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that portion of street situated in the Otago
Land District, Borough of Oamaru, known as Weaver Street, fronting
parts Lots 19 and 22, Deeds Plan 60, being part Section 1, Block I,
Oamaru District, the said parcel of land being more particularly
shown as Lots 6, 7, and 8, Deeds Plan 186. As the said portion of
street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
119906, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public
Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anyway enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
approve of the following resolution passed by the Johnsonville
Town Board on the eighteenth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-four, viz. :-
"That the Johnsonville Town Board, being the local
authority having control of the streets in the Town District of
Johnsonville, hereby declares that section one hundred and
twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply
to the south side of Wakefield Road, beginning at the inter-
section of Ballance Street with Wakefield Road and extending
westward for a distance of 227 links, being the frontage of the
land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 38, folio 12, being
part of Section 11, Porirua Registration District, Block XI,
Belmont Survey District " ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of
the portion of Wakefield Road (described in the Schedule hereto)
within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the
said portion of street.
SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of street situated in the
Wellington Land District, Town District of Johnsonville, known as
Wakefield Road, fronting part Section 11, Porirua District. As
the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 119502, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf,
His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Execu-
tive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations
referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.
