Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:-

A motor-driver's license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Masterton Goods Transport Control Committee.-By revoking the appointments of all members of the Masterton Goods Transport Control Committee.

The Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport both hereby give notice as follows :-

  1. This notice may be cited as the Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Whangarei Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal scheme").

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words "R. E. Meynell, Bank Street, Whangarei" (relating to the delivery of milk in Zone No. 4), and substituting therefor the following :-

"E. A. Richer, Norfolk Street, Whangarei."

The Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 4

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:-

  1. This notice may be cited as the Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 4, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hastings Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal scheme").

  2. Clause (6) of the principal scheme as amended is hereby further amended as follows :-

(a) By revoking the words "J. R. Heeney" (relating to deliveries in Zones Nos. 3 and 5), and substituting therefor the words "R. S. Berrigan":
(b) By revoking the words "E. McLaren" (relating to deliveries in Zone No. 18), and substituting therefor the words "A. M. Stopforth":
(c) By authorizing Cyril Death, of Hastings, to deliver milk in Zone No. 5 at Royston Hospital, at the corner of Prospect Road, and in Southland Road and Knight Street, and by abrogating the authority of R. S. Berrigan to deliver milk in the said portions of Zone No. 5.

The Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, amended

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:-

  1. This notice shall be read together with and deemed part of the Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as "the principal scheme").

  2. Clause 3 of the principal scheme is hereby amended-

(a) By inserting, after the words "in the zone numbered 5 on the plan," the words "and also that part of zone numbered 8 on the plan consisting of Merlin Street; Melrose Street, Nos. 17, 18, 28, 21, 23A, 23, 26, 26A, 30; Tweed Street, Nos. 31, 47, 53; Highgate Street, Nos. 384 and 392";
(b) By inserting, after the words "in the zone numbered 8 on the plan," the words "with the exception of the area allotted A. J. D. Bain as hereinbefore described."

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby amend the Ashburton Milk Delivery Notice 1943† by adding to the Schedule the following :-

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 27th day of July, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:

Now, therefore, I, Clarence Farringdon Skinner, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, do hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and I hereby specify the 9th day of October, 1944, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and seventy-three (173) acres one (1) rood eighteen and four-tenths (18.4) perches, more or less, being part of Allotment l (Tirarau's Grant), Maungatapere Parish, and being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 551, folio 76 (limited as to parcels and title), subject to the water easements over part, appurtenant to the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 551, folio 75, created by Deed No. 383259 (R. 534/104), and also subject to the right-of-way appurtenant to the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 551, folio 78, created by Conveyance No. 130516 (R. 46/912), and also all that parcel of land containing one (1) rood eighteen (18) perches, more or less, being part of Allotment l (Tirarau's Grant), Maungataapere Parish, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 551, folio 77 (Auckland Registry).
