Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.-Amendment
to Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 9
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the
Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration
of Essential Undertakings No. 9 by adding, after the words
Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., at Petone,' the words- including all the operations of the Forwarding Department
of this concern at Jervois Quay, Wellington.'

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Fish Retailing
Messrs. Seafoods, Ltd., Auckland, have applied for a fish-
retailer's license to permit them to sell wet fish from their receiving
depot at Opua, Bay of Islands.
L. I. Gaelic, 12 Parrish Road, Auckland, has applied for a
fish-retailer's license to permit him to sell wet and cooked fish from
shop premises situated at 165 Sandringham Road, Auckland.
Taking of Fish for Sale
W. J. Watts, 34 Ocean View Road, Milford, Auckland, has
applied for a license to permit him to operate his 36 ft. launch
"Bernice " (not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines,
hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Milford, and
also for a fish-retailer's license to enable him to hawk his catches
for sale at boatside on the North Shore and between Milford and
Deep Creek.
J. V. Wallace, Paihia, Bay of Islands, has applied for a license
to permit him to operate his 41 ft. 75 h.p. engined vessel 'Karere'
(not yet registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines,
and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Opua.
R. T. Carrel, 66 Wainui Road, Gisborne, has applied for a
license to permit him to operate his 15 ft. fishing-coat (not yet
registered), using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and
crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Gisborne.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
R. Hannah and Co., Ltd., Wanganui, have applied for an
extension of their existing license to machine uppers, so as to
permit the manufacture of all classes of footwear by the Veldtschoen
process, involving a transfer of all production facilities by this
process from the Wellington factory.
Canning of Fruit and Vegetables
Pioneer Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Christchurch, have applied
for a license to enable them to engage in the canning of fruit and
vegetables at Christchurch.
Persons considering themselves materially affected by the
decision of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should
make any desired representations in writing not later than the
28th September, 1944, to G. L. O'Halloran, Secretary, Bureau of
Industry, G.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
