Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph

General Post Office,
Wellington, 24th August, 1944.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed transmitting and receiving officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:—

William Gillies Clarke, Postmaster, Hawera.
Walter Abel Trask, Postmaster, Whakatane.

The Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 17

IN pursuance of the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941, Variation No. 17.

  2. This Order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Holidays Labour Legislation Modification Order 1941 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

  3. The principal Order is varied as follows—namely, the provisions of the principal Order shall not apply to the workers coming within the scope of the Northern, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago and Southland Woollen-mills and Hosiery-factories’ Employees’ award dated the 15th day of July, 1942, and recorded in 42 Book of Awards 705.

  4. This Order shall come into effect on the day of the date hereof.
