Election of Members of the Ruawai Bobby Calf Pool Committee
PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, notice has been received that
Frederick Nelson Simpkin,
Ernest Clifford Dunn,
Eglinton Krew Hames,
Robert Frederick Anson,
Cecil Edward Robinson,
William Ernest Constable, and
Arthur Selwyn Marshall
have been duly elected to be members of the Ruawai Bobby Calf Pool Committee established by the said regulations.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land adaptable for the settlement of two or more discharged servicemen :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 26th day of July, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, do hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and I hereby specify the 25th day of September, 1944, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land containing two hundred and six (206) acres and twenty and two-thirds (20⅔) perches, more or less, being Section Twenty-seven (27) and part of Section Twenty-six (26), Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 226, folio 214, and Vol. 259, folio 187. (Auckland Registry).

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 16th day of August, 1944, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, I, Clarence Farrington Skinner, Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, do hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and I hereby specify the 18th day of September, 1944, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing seventy-two (72) acres two (2) roods twenty-two (22) perches, more or less, being Section One Hundred and One (101), Block V, Waitara Survey District (Ngatirahiri Block), and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 104, folio 49 (Taranaki Registry).

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944.—Declaration of Essential Undertakings No. 152
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1944, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the undertaking set forth hereunder to be an essential undertaking for the purposes of those regulations :—

Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces
National Service Department,
Wellington, 7th September, 1944.
IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 7th September, 1944, issued to—
Alfred Thomas Neckelson, Grocer’s Assistant, 39 Formby Avenue, Point Chevalier, Registration No. 635595, and
Clifford Melrose, Bootmaker, 53 Kent Terrace, Wellington, Registration No. 657540,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.
