Requisitioning Two Drums of Motor-spirit in Possession of the Police
at Auckland
Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Supply Control Emergency
Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 1,* the Minister of Supply
and Munitions hereby requisitions the motor-spirit, and the two
44-gallon drums in which it is contained, at present in the possession
of the Police Department, Auckland, in connection with the recent
prosecution of Rufus Rehu and Paul Rauhu, and directs that the
motor-spirit be used in motor-vehicles controlled by the Police
Department.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Public Work
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in
the Schedule hereto for a public work: And notice is hereby further
given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited
in the post-office at Tikiti and is there open for inspection; and
that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if
they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land,
set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty
days from the 29th day of August, 1944, to the Minister of
Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of land required to be taken:
32 perches.
Being Tikiti C 2 Block.
Situated in Block VI, Waiapu Survey District.
In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 119824, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

me by section 3 of the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation
Encouragement) Act, 1929, I, Frederick Jones, Minister of Defence
for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby recognize, for the

The Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1944
Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1944.

This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the district described in the said Schedule.

The Balclutha Milk Delivery Notice 1943† is hereby consequentially revoked.
SCHEDULE
THE BALCLUTHA MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1944
(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means all that area forming the Borough of Balclutha as at present constituted (including the Balclutha Hospital), the adjacent area to the south of the borough known as Rosebank, and the Township of Benhar.
(2) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

The Invercargill Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, Amendment No. 3
Pursuant to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Invercargill Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Invercargill Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941† (hereinafter referred to as “ the principal scheme ”).

Clause 3 of the principal scheme, as substituted by the Invercargill Milk Delivery Scheme, 1941, Amendment No. 2, is hereby amended by revoking the name “ F. J. Woodfield ” (relating to deliveries in the zone numbered 1), and substituting therefor the name “ R. J. Logan.”

Pursuant to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows:—

This notice may be cited as the Stratford Milk Delivery Notice 1942, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Stratford Milk Delivery Notice 1942† (hereinafter referred to as “ the principal scheme ”).

Clause 6 of the principal scheme is hereby amended by revoking the words “ G. Henry, Stratford,” and substituting the words “ N. C. Meuli, Stratford.”

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver’s license issued under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor for the purpose of the business of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
