MAKERUA DRAINAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATES
Makerua Drainage Board Pumping Plant Loan of £3,250, 1943
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Makerua Drainage Board hereby
resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing for payment of interest,
sinking fund, and other charges on the Makerua Drainage Board
Pumping Plant Loan of £3,250, 1943, authorized to be raised by the
Makerua Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of providing two pumping plants with necessary floodgates in the
Central Area Special-rating District, the Makerua Drainage Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and five-tenths
of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property classified ‘A’ within
the Central Area Special-rating District ; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
being a period of fifteen (15) years from the 31st July, 1944, and be
payable on the 1st day of February in each and every year during
the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed at a meeting of the Makerua Drainage Board on the 13th
July, 1944.

with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several
particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered
by the Registrar of Companies on the 20th day of July, 1944.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District
of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public
Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a
public school, the following land—namely, all that piece of land
situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing one
rood twenty decimal nine perches (1 rood 20·9 perches), more or
less, situated in the Borough of One Tree Hill, being Lot 40 on plan
deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 14346,
and being part of Allotment 10 of Section 12 of the Suburbs of
Auckland.
A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Green Lane,
and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set
forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such
land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District
of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street East, Auckland.
