A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

Crown Land set apart as Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL those areas in the Westland Land District, Grey County, containing by admeasurement 1,760 acres, more or less, and described as follows :—

All that area containing 1,200 acres, more or less, being Section 2693 and parts Sections 2692, 2695, 2755, 2756, 2764, and Crown land, situated in Block I, Kopara Survey District, and Block III, Brunner Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 2692, Block III, Brunner Survey District ; thence by a right line bearing 32° 30′ for 200 links to the left bank of Deep Creek ; thence towards the north and north-east by the left bank of Deep Creek to its intersection with the northern boundary of part Reserve 1715, being provisional State forest (Gazette, 1931, page 702) ; thence generally towards the south by Reserve 1715 aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Section 2691, Block III aforesaid, and towards the west by Section 2691 aforesaid to the point of commencement : save and excepting all public roads.

Also all that area containing 560 acres, more or less, being parts Sections 2754, 2755, and 2756, Block III, Brunner Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 2756 aforesaid and towards the south by Sections 2763, 2760, 2759, and 2758, Block III aforesaid, and to the western boundary of Section 2754, Block III aforesaid ; thence generally towards the north and north-west by Reserve 1715, being provisional State forest (Gazette, 1931, page 702), to a public road forming the eastern boundary of Section 2756 aforesaid, and towards the east by the said public road to the point of commencement.

As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 126/70, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of February, 1944.
